ସମାନେେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କର କେତକେ ଶିଷ୍ଯଙ୍କୁ ଅପବିତ୍ର ହାତ ରେ ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଧାରିତ ପଦ୍ଧତି ରେ ହାତ ନ ଧୋଇ ଖାଉଥିବାର ଦେଖିଲେ।

ମୁଁ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କଠା ରେ ରହିଥିବାରୁ, ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ ଯେ, ନିଶ୍ଚୟ କୌମସି ଭୋଜନ ଆପେ ଆପେ ଅଶୁଚି ହୁଏ ନାହିଁ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଯଦି ୟଣେ କୌଣସି ଖାଦ୍ୟକୁ ଅଶୁଚି ବୋଲି ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରେ, ସହେି ଖାଦ୍ୟ ତା ପାଇଁ ଅଶୁଚି ହୁଏ।
ଦାନିଏଲ 6:4
ଏଥି ରେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଅଧ୍ଯକ୍ଷ ଓ କ୍ଷତିପାଳମାନେ ଦାନିୟେଲଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଇର୍ଷାଳୁ ହେଲେ ଓ ଦାନିୟେଲଙ୍କର ରାଜକର୍ମ ବିଷଯ ଦୋଷ ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କଲେ। ମାତ୍ର ସମାନେେ କୌଣସି ଦୋଷ ବା ଅପରାଧ ପାଇ ପାରିଲେ ନାହିଁ। କାରଣ ସେ ବିଶ୍ବସ୍ତ ଥିଲେ ଓ ତାଙ୍କଠା ରେ କୌଣସି ଭାନ୍ତି ବା ଅପରାଧ ନଥିଲା। ସେ ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ଠକୁ ନଥିଲେ ଓ କଠିନ ପରିଶ୍ରମ କରୁଥିଲେ।
