ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଗଣନା କର। ସମସ୍ତ ମଣ୍ତଳୀର ଅନୁସାରେ ଓ ପରିବାରବର୍ଗ ଅନୁସାରେ ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ପୁରୁଷ ଲୋକର ନାମ ତାଲିକା କର।

ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଗଣିତ ହାଇେଥିବା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ସଂଖ୍ଯା ଅନୁସାରେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗଣନା କରିବ। ସେତବେେଳେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ଲୋକ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ନିଜ ନିଜ ପ୍ରାଣାର୍ଥେ ଗଣନା ସମୟରେ ପ୍ରାଯଶ୍ଚିତ କରିବେ। ତହିଁରେ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ମଧିଅରେ ଗଣନା ସମୟରେ ଆଘାତ ହବେ ନାହିଁ।

ଦାଉଦ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗଣିବା ନମସ୍ତେ ସ୍ଥିର କଲେ। ସଠାେରେ ବହୁତ ଅଧିକ ଲୋକ ଥିଲେ, କାରଣ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରିଥିଲେ ଯେ, ସେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆକାଶର ତାରାଗଣ ତୁଲ୍ଯ ଅଗଣ୍ଯ କରିବେ। ତେଣୁ ଦାଉଦ କବଳେ 20 ବର୍ଷ ବଯସ୍କ ଓ ତଦୁଦ୍ଧର୍ବ ବଯସର ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଗଣନା କଲେ।

ଶଯତାନ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଛିଡ଼ା ହେଲା। ଶଯତାନ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗଣନା କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରବର୍ତ୍ତାଇଲା।

ଏହାପରେ ଯାକୁବ ତାଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣା ନିକଟକୁ ଡ଼କାଇଲେ। ସେ କହିଲେ, ହେ ମାରେ ପୁତ୍ରଗଣ, ମାେ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସ। ଭବିଷ୍ଯତ କଥା ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କହିବି।
