ଗଣନା ପୁସ୍ତକ 8
1 ଅନନ୍ତର ମାଶାଙ୍କେୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହିଲେ,
2 ହାରୋଣଙ୍କୁ କୁହ, ମୁଁ ଦଖାଇେଥିବା ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ସାତାଟେି ପ୍ରଦୀପ ରଖିବେ। ଯାହାଫଳ ରେ ସାତାଟେି ପ୍ରଦୀପ ଦୀପ ବୃକ୍ଷର ସମ୍ମୁଖ ଭାଗ ରେ ଆଲୁଅ ଦବେ।
3 ହାରୋଣ ସହେିପରି କଲେ, ଯେପରି ତାଙ୍କୁ ନିର୍ବ୍ଦେଶ ଦଇେଥିଲେ। ସେ ପ୍ରଦୀପଗୁଡିକୁ ସଜାଡି଼ଲେ, ଯେଉଁଥିପାଇଁ ସଗେୁଡିକ ଦୀପରୁଖାର ସମ୍ମୁଖ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଆଲୋକିତ କରିପାରିବେ।
4 ସହେିସବୁ ଦୀପରୂଖା ଆଧାର ଓ ତା'ର ଉପରର ଫୁଲଗୁଡିକ ପିଟା ସୁବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ରେ ନିର୍ମିତ ହାଇେଥିଲା। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାଶାଙ୍କେୁ ନିର୍ବ୍ଦେଶ ମୁତାବକ ମାଶାେ ଦୀପରୂଖା ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ।
5 ଅନନ୍ତର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାଶାଙ୍କେୁ କହିଲେ,
6 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ଯରୁ ଲବେୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ନଇେ ଶୂଚି କର।
7 ସମାନଙ୍କେ ଶୂଚି କରିବାକୁ ଏହିରୂପେ କର। ସମାନଙ୍କେ ଉପରେ ଶୂଦ୍ଧ ଜଳ ସିଞ୍ଚନ କର ଓ ସମାନେେ ନିଜ ନିଜ ସମଗ୍ର ଶରୀର େକ୍ଷୗର କର ଏବଂ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ଧୋଇବେ। ଏହିପରି ସମାନେେ ନିଜକୁ ନିଜେ ଶୂଚି କରନ୍ତୁ।
8 ତା'ପରେ ସମାନେେ ଏକ ଗୋବତ୍ସ ଓ ତା ସହିତ ତୈଳ ମିଶ୍ରିତ ସରୁ ମଇଦାର ଭକ୍ଷ୍ଯ ନବୈେଦ୍ଯ ଆଣନ୍ତୁ, ପୁଣି ଆଉ ଏକ ଗୋବତ୍ସ ପାପାର୍ଥକ ବଳି ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆଣନ୍ତୁ।
9 ତହୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଲବେୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମାଗମ ତମ୍ବୁ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ କରାଇବ। ତା'ପରେ ସମସ୍ତ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ମଣ୍ତଳିକି ଏକତ୍ର କରିବ।
10 ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଲବେୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ କରାଇବା ଉଚିତ୍। ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଲୋକମାନେ ଲବେୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ହସ୍ତ ରଖିବେ।
11 ଆଉ ହାରୋଣ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ପକ୍ଷ ରେ ଲବେୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଦୋଳନୀଯ ଉପହାର ରୂପେ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରିବ। ତହିଁରେ ସମାନେେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ସବୋ କରିବେ।
12 ଲବେୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହ ଏହି ଦୁଇ ଷଣ୍ତର ମସ୍ତକରେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ହସ୍ତ ରଖିବେ। ତହୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଲବେୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ପ୍ରାଯଶ୍ଚିତ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଉବ୍ଦେଶ୍ଯ ରେ ଗୋଟିକୁ ପାପାର୍ଥକ ବଳି ରୂପେ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟଟିକୁ ହାମାେର୍ଥକ ବଳିରୂପେ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରିବା ଉଚିତ୍।
13 ପୁଣି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ହାରୋଣ ଓ ତାହାର ପୁତ୍ରଗଣ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଲବେୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ କରାଇ ଦୋଳନୀଯ ନବୈେଦ୍ଯରୂପେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଉବ୍ଦେଶ୍ଯ ରେ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରିବ।
14 ଏହିରୂପେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଲବେୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ପୃଥକ କରିବ। ସମାନେେ ମାରେ ହବେେ।
15 ପୁଣି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଶୁଚି କରି ଦୋଳନୀଯ ନବୈେଦ୍ଯ ରୂପେ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରିବ, ତା'ପରେ ସମାନେେ ସବୋକରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସମାଗମ ତମ୍ବୁ ରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବେ।
16 କାରଣ ସମାନେେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ଯରୁ ଆମ୍ଭ ଉବ୍ଦେଶ୍ଯ ରେ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣରୂପେ ଦତ୍ତ ଲୋକ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ମଧ୍ଯରୁ ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରଥମ ଜାତ ସନ୍ତାନ ବଦଳ ରେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଆପଣା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଗ୍ରହଣ କଲୁ।
17 ସହେିଦିନ ମୁଁ ମିଶରର ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରଥମଜାତ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କଲି, ମୁଁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ପ୍ରଥମଜାତ ସନ୍ତାନଙ୍କୁ ମାେ ନିମନ୍ତେ ପବିତ୍ର କଲି। ଏଣୁ ସମସ୍ତ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ପ୍ରଥମଜାତ ଉଭୟ ମନୁଷ୍ଯ ଓ ପଶୁଗୁଡିକ ମାରେ ହବେ।
18 ପୁଣି ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ଲୋକମାନେ ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରଥମଜାତ ବଦଳ ରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଲବେୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କଲୁ।
19 ମୁଁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧିଅରେ ଲବେୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦାନରୂପେ ହାରୋଣ ଓ ତା'ର ପୁତ୍ରଗଣଙ୍କୁ ଦଲେି। ସମାନେେ ସମାଗମ ତମ୍ବୁ ନିକଟରେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟ ଲୋକ ବଦଳ ରେ ସବୋ ଓ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରାଯଶ୍ଚିତ କିରିବେ। ଏହି ପ୍ରକା ରେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଲୋକମାନେ ପବିତ୍ରସ୍ଥାନ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିଲା ବେଳେ କୌଣସି ମହାମାରୀ ଆସିବ ନାହିଁ।
20 ତେଣୁ ମାଶାେ, ହାରୋଣ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଲୋକ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞା ପାଳନ କଲେ। ମାଶାଙ୍କେ ପ୍ରତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଅନୁସାରେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଲୋକମାନେ ଲବେୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି କଲେ।
21 ପୁଣି ଲବେୀୟମାନେ ନିଜକୁ ଶୈାଚ କଲେ ଓ ନିଜ ନିଜ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ଧୌତ କଲେ। ତହୁଁ ହାରୋଣ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଦୋଳନୀଯ ନବୈେଦ୍ଯରୂପେ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କଲେ ଓ ହାରୋଣ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଶୁଚି କିବା ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରାଯଶ୍ଚିତ କଲେ।
22 ତା'ପରେ ଲବେୀୟମାନେ ହାରୋଣ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ରଗଣଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ସବୋକାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ନିମନ୍ତେ ସମାଗମ ତମ୍ବୁ ରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କଲେ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଲବେୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ବିଷଯ ରେ ମାଶାଙ୍କେୁ ଯେପରି ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦଇେଥିଲେ ତଦନୁସା ରେ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ପ୍ରତି କଲେ।
23 ଅନନ୍ତର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାଶାଙ୍କେୁ କହିଲେ,
24 ଏହା ହେଉଛି ଲବେୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା ପାତ୍ର। ପଚିଶ ବର୍ଷରୁ ଅଧିକ ଲବେୀୟମାନେ ସମାଗମ ତମ୍ବୁ ରେ ସବୋକାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ମନୋନୀତ ହବେେ।
25 ପୁଣି ସମାନେେ ପଚାଶବର୍ଷ ବଯସ୍କ ହେଲେ ସବୋ କର୍ମରୁ ଅବସର ନଇେ ଆଉ ସବୋକରିବେ ନାହିଁ।
26 ତଥାପି ସମାନେେ ପଚାଶବର୍ଷ ବଯସ ରେ ମଧ୍ଯ ସମାଗମ ତମ୍ବୁ ରେ ଆପଣା ଭ୍ରାତାମାନଙ୍କୁ ସବୋକାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ରେ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରିବେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ସମାନେେ ନିଜ ମତାମତ ଅନୁସାରେ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କରିବା ଉଚିତ୍ ନୁହେଁ। ଏହି ରୂପେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଲବେୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ରକ୍ଷଣୀଯ ବିଷଯ ରେ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ପ୍ରତି ଉଚିତ୍ କରିବ।
1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto Aaron, and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the candlestick.
3 And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the candlestick, as the Lord commanded Moses.
4 And this work of the candlestick was of beaten gold, unto the shaft thereof, unto the flowers thereof, was beaten work: according unto the pattern which the Lord had shewed Moses, so he made the candlestick.
5 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
6 Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.
7 And thus shalt thou do unto them, to cleanse them: Sprinkle water of purifying upon them, and let them shave all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean.
8 Then let them take a young bullock with his meat offering, even fine flour mingled with oil, and another young bullock shalt thou take for a sin offering.
9 And thou shalt bring the Levites before the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt gather the whole assembly of the children of Israel together:
10 And thou shalt bring the Levites before the Lord: and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites:
11 And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the Lord for an offering of the children of Israel, that they may execute the service of the Lord.
12 And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks: and thou shalt offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, unto the Lord, to make an atonement for the Levites.
13 And thou shalt set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them for an offering unto the Lord.
14 Thus shalt thou separate the Levites from among the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be mine.
15 And after that shall the Levites go in to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt cleanse them, and offer them for an offering.
16 For they are wholly given unto me from among the children of Israel; instead of such as open every womb, even instead of the firstborn of all the children of Israel, have I taken them unto me.
17 For all the firstborn of the children of Israel are mine, both man and beast: on the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for myself.
18 And I have taken the Levites for all the firstborn of the children of Israel.
19 And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel: that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come nigh unto the sanctuary.
20 And Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel, did to the Levites according unto all that the Lord commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did the children of Israel unto them.
21 And the Levites were purified, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them as an offering before the Lord; and Aaron made an atonement for them to cleanse them.
22 And after that went the Levites in to do their service in the tabernacle of the congregation before Aaron, and before his sons: as the Lord had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they unto them.
23 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
24 This is it that belongeth unto the Levites: from twenty and five years old and upward they shall go in to wait upon the service of the tabernacle of the congregation:
25 And from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting upon the service thereof, and shall serve no more:
26 But shall minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of the congregation, to keep the charge, and shall do no service. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites touching their charge.
Micah 4 in Tamil and English
1 ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਵਸਬਾ ਆਵੇਗੀ ਅਖੀਰੀ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਪਹਾੜ ਪਰਬਤ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਤੇ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਬਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਇੱਕ ਅਟਲ ਨਦੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਉਸ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.
2 ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਵੱਲ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਣਗੇ, “ਚਲੋ, ਆਪਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲੀਏ। ਚਲੋ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲੀਏ। ਤਦ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਜਾਂਚ ਸਿੱਖਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਰਮਾਏ ਮਾਰਗ ਤੇ ਚੱਲਾਂਗੇ।” ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਿਦਾਇਤਾਂ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਤੋਂ ਆਉਣਗੀਆਂ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਤੋਂ ਆਵੇਗਾ।
And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
3 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਨਿਆਂਕਾਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਦੂਰ-ਦੁਰਾਡੇ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਹਿਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਮ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਢਾਲਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਨੇਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਕੱਟਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਔਜਾਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ। ਲੋਕ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਨਾ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਲੜਾਈ ਲਈ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਲੈਣੀ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਗੇ।
And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
4 ਹਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੀ ਅੰਗੂਰੀ ਵੇਲ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਜੀਰ ਦੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਬੈਠੇਗਾ। ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਡਰਾਏਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਰਬ-ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਫ਼ੁਰਮਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਵੇਂ ਵਾਪਰੇਗਾ।
But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the Lord of hosts hath spoken it.
5 ਦੂਜੇ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ-ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੰਨਾਂਗੇ।
For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever.
6 ਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਫ਼ੁਰਮਾਉਂਦਾ, “ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਅਪਾਹਿਜ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਲਾਵਤਨੀ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਟ ਲਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਮਿਲੀ, ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਮੈਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਿਆਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।”
In that day, saith the Lord, will I assemble her that halteth, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted;
7 “ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਅਪਾਹਿਜ ਸਨ, ਬਚੇ ਹੋਏ ਬਣ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਜਿਹੜੇ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ ਇੱਕ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕੌਮ ਬਣ ਜਾਣਗੇ।” ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਪਰਬਤ ਤੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਲਈ ਰਾਜ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the Lord shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever.
8 ਤੂੰ, ਏਦਰ ਦੇ ਬੁਰਜ, ਤੇਰਾ ਵੀ ਸਮਾਂ ਆਵੇਗਾ। ਓਫ਼ਲ, ਸੀਯੋਨ ਦੀਏ ਪਹਾੜੀਏ, ਤੂੰ ਫਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਗੱਦੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਵੇਂਗੀ। ਹਾਂ, ਰਾਜ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem.
9 ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਬਾਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਕਿਉਂ ਜਾਣ? ਹੁਣ ਤੂੰ ਉੱਚੀ-ਉੱਚੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਚਿਲਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ? ਕੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ? ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਗੂ ਗੁਆ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ? ਤੂੰ ਜਣਨ ਪੀੜ ਸਹਿਂਦੀ ਔਰਤ ਵਾਂਗ ਕਿਉਂ ਦੁੱਖੀ ਹੈਂ?
Now why dost thou cry out aloud? is there no king in thee? is thy counseller perished? for pangs have taken thee as a woman in travail.
10 ਹੇ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਦੀ ਧੀਏ! ਪੀੜਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਣਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਔਰਤ ਵਾਂਗ ਆਪਣੇ ‘ਬੱਚੇ’ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦੇ। ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਚਲੀ ਜਾ (ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਚੋਂ) ਤੂੰ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹੇਂਗੀ। ਮੇਰਾ ਮਤਲਬ, ਤੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਵੇਂਗੀ ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਥਾਵੋਂ ਬਚਾਈ ਜਾਵੇਂਗੀ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉੱਥੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਵੇਗਾ।
Be in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail: for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon; there shalt thou be delivered; there the Lord shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies.
11 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੂਜੇ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜਨ ਆਈਆਂ! ਉਹ ਆਖਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ “ਵੇਖੋ! ਉਹ ਹੈ ਸੀਯੋਨ! ਚਲੋ, ਉਸਤੇ ਧਾਵਾ ਬੋਲੀਏ!”
Now also many nations are gathered against thee, that say, Let her be defiled, and let our eye look upon Zion.
12 ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਤੇ ਪਕਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਵਿਉਂਤ ਬਾਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਤਾ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਸ ਮਕਸਦ ਲਈ ਇੱਥੇ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਪਿੜ ਵਿੱਚਲੇ ਅਨਾਜ ਵਾਂਗ ਪੀਸੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
But they know not the thoughts of the Lord, neither understand they his counsel: for he shall gather them as the sheaves into the floor.
13 ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਵੇਗੀ “ਹੇ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਦੀਏ ਧੀਏ, ਉੱਠ, ਜਾਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੀਹ ਦੇ। ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਤਾਕਤਵਰ ਬਣਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਤੂੰ ਇੰਨੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਹੋਵੇਂਗੀ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਿੰਗ ਲੋਹੇ ਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਪੈਰ ਪਿੱਤਲ ਦੇ ਹੋਣ ਤੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਚਲ ਦੇਵੇਂਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਯੋਹਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪ ਦੇਵੇਂਗੀ। ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਖਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦੇਵੇਂਗੀ।”
Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make thine horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces many people: and I will consecrate their gain unto the Lord, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth.
