Proverbs 1 - ASV (Oriya)

1 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel:ଏହି ହିତାପଦେେଶଗୁଡ଼ିକ ହେଉଛି, ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କର। ଶଲୋମନ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ରାଜା ଥିଲେ।

2 To know wisdom and instruction; To discern the words of understanding;ଏହି ହିତାପଦେେଶ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ବୁଦ୍ଧିମାନ କରିବ। ଏବଂ ସମାନେେ ଜାଣିପାରିବେ କେଉଁ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯଟି ଠିକ୍। ଜ୍ଞାନ ଓ ଉପଦେଶ ବୁଝିବାକୁ ଏହି ବାକ୍ଯମାନ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରିବ।

3 To receive instruction in wise dealing, In righteousness and justice and equity;ଏହି ଉପଦେଶ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଠିକ୍ ବାଟରେ କରିବ। ଏହାଦ୍ବାରା ଲୋକମାନେ ସଚ୍ଚୋଟତା, ସାଧୁତା ଓ ନ୍ଯାଯ ଶିକ୍ଷା କରିବେ।

4 To give prudence to the simple, To the young man knowledge and discretion:ଏହି ଉପଦେଶଗୁଡ଼ିକ ସହେି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦଇପୋରିବ, ଯେଉଁମାନେ କି ଜ୍ଞାନ ଆହରଣ କରିବାକୁ ଚାହାନ୍ତି। ଏହି ଉପଦେଶଗୁଡ଼ିକ ୟୁବା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଓ ଏହାକୁ କିପରି ବ୍ଯବହାର କରିବାକୁ ହୁଏ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦିଏ।

5 That the wise man may hear, and increase in learning; And that the man of understanding may attain unto sound counsels:ଏପରିକି ବୁଦ୍ଧିମାନ ଲୋକମାନେ ଏହି ବାକ୍ଯଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଶୁଣିବା ଉଚିତ୍। ଏଥିରୁ ସମାନେେ ବହୁଜ୍ଞାନ ଲାଭ କରିବେ। ଶିକ୍ଷିତ ଲୋକମାନେ ଏପରିକି ଅଧିକ ବୁଝାମଣା ଶକ୍ତି ପାଇବେ।

6 To understand a proverb, and a figure, The words of the wise, and their dark sayings.ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକମାନେ, ୟିଏକି ଏହି ହିତାପଦେେଶ ଶୁଣନ୍ତି, ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ଲୋକ କହି ୟାଇଥିବା କଥା ବୁଝିବା ରେ ସକ୍ଷମ ହବେେ ଏବଂ ଗୁପ୍ତ ରହିଥିବା ଗଳ୍ପର ଅର୍ଥ ମଧ୍ଯ ବୁଝିପାରିବେ। ସମାନେେ ଜ୍ଞାନୀମାନଙ୍କର କହିଥିବା ହିତଜନକ ପରାମର୍ଶ ବୁଝିପାରିବେ।

7 The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of knowledge; `But' the foolish despise wisdom and instruction.ପ୍ରଥମେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ସମ୍ମାନ କରିବା ଏବଂ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ଯ ମାନି ଚଳିବା ଜଣେ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ଏହା ଶିକ୍ଷା କରିବା ଉଚିତ୍। ଏଥି ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବାସ୍ତବ ଜ୍ଞାନ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ଘଟିବ। କିନ୍ତୁ ନିର୍ ବୋଧ ଲୋକମାନେ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଓ ଉପଦେଶକୁ ତୁଚ୍ଛ କରନ୍ତି।

8 My son, hear the instruction of thy father, And forsake not the law of thy mother:ହେ ମାରେ ପୁତ୍ର, ତୁମ୍ଭର ପିତାଙ୍କର ଉପଦେଶ ଶୁଣ, ଯେତବେେଳେ ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଶୃଙ୍ଖଳିତ କରନ୍ତି ଏବଂ ତୁମ୍ଭ ମାତାଙ୍କର ଉପଦେଶ ପରିତ୍ଯାଗ କର ନାହିଁ।

9 For they shall be a chaplet of grace unto thy head, And chains about thy neck.ତୁମ୍ଭର ପିତା ଓ ମାତା, ଯାହା କିଛି ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦିଅନ୍ତି, ସହେି ବାକ୍ଯଗୁଡ଼ିକ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପାଇଁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ ଫୁଲମାଳ ପରି ଅଟେ ଏବଂ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଗଳା ପାଇଁ ହାର ଅଟେ।

10 My son, if sinners entice thee, Consent thou not.ହେ ମାରେ ପୁତ୍ର, ପାପୀମାନେ ପାପକର୍ମ କରିବାକୁ ଭଲ ପାଆନ୍ତି ଏବଂ ସହେିପରି ଲୋକମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କୁକାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କରାଇବାକୁ ପ୍ରବର୍ତ୍ତାଇବେ। ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସମ୍ମତି ଦିଅ ନାହିଁ।

11 If they say, Come with us, Let us lay wait for blood; Let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause;ସହେି ଲୋକମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କହିପାରନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଆସ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ରକ୍ତପାଦ କରିବାକୁ ଚାହିଁ ବସୁ। ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦୋଶମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିନା କାରଣ ରେ ଧରିବାକୁ ଗୁପ୍ତ ରେ ଲୁଚି ରହୁ।

12 Let us swallow them up alive as Sheol, And whole, as those that go down into the pit;ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରିବା। ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ମୃତ୍ଯୁର ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ପଠାଇବା। ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ବିନାଶ କରି କବରକୁ ପଠାଇବା।

13 We shall find all precious substance; We shall fill our houses with spoil;ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତହିଁରୁ ସବୁପ୍ରକାର ବହୁମୂଲ୍ଯ ଧନ ପାଇବା। ଲୁଟିତ ଦ୍ରବ୍ଯ ରେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଗୃହକୁ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରିବା।

14 Thou shalt cast thy lot among us; We will all have one purse:ତେଣୁ ଆସ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଯୋଗ ଦିଅ, ଏବଂ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଯାହା ପାଇବା ତାହା ବାଣ୍ଟ କରିବା।

15 My son, walk not thou in the way with them; Refrain thy foot from their path:ହେ ମାରେ ପୁତ୍ର, ଏପରି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅନୁସରଣ କର ନାହିଁ। ଏପରି ପଥରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପାଦ ଦିଅ ନାହିଁ।

16 For their feet run to evil, And they make haste to shed blood.ସହେି ପାପୀ ଲୋକମାନେ ସର୍ବଦା ପାପ କରିବାକୁ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ ଥାନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ସର୍ବଦା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରିବାକୁ ଚାହାଁନ୍ତି।

17 For in vain is the net spread In the sight of any bird:ପକ୍ଷୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଧରିବା ପାଇଁ ଲୋକମାନେ ଜାଲ ବିଛାଇ ଥାନ୍ତି। କିନ୍ତୁ କୌଣସି ପକ୍ଷୀ ଆଗ ରେ ଜାଲ ବିଛାଇବା ବ୍ଯର୍ଥ ଅଟେ।

18 And these lay wait for their own blood; They lurk privily for their own lives.ତେଣୁ ଏହି ଲୋକମାନେ ଗୁପ୍ତ ରେ ଛକି ବସନ୍ତି ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରିବା ପାଇଁ। କିନ୍ତୁ ବାସ୍ତବ ରେ ସମାନେେ ନିଜ ନିଜର ପ୍ରାଣକୁ ଧରିବା ପାଇଁ ଜାଲ ବିଛାଇଥାନ୍ତି।

19 So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; It taketh away the life of the owners thereof.ସମସ୍ତ ଧନ ଲୋଭୀର ଗତି ଏହିପରି। ତାହା ଧନର ଅଧିକାରୀମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରାଣ ନାଶ କରେ।

20 Wisdom crieth aloud in the street; She uttereth her voice in the broad places;ଶୁଣ! ଜ୍ଞାନ ରାସ୍ତାଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଉପ ରେ ଉଚ୍ଚ ସ୍ବର ରେ ଡାକେ। ସର୍ବସାଧାରଣ ଛକଗୁଡ଼ିକରେ ତା'ର ସ୍ବର ଶୁଣାଏ।

21 She crieth in the chief place of concourse; At the entrance of the gates, In the city, she uttereth her words:ସେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଧାନ ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ଡ଼ାକଇ। ନଗର ଦ୍ବାରର ପ୍ରବେଶ ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ, ନଗର ମଧିଅରେ ଆପଣାର ବାକ୍ଯ ଉଚ୍ଚାରଣ କରି କ ହେ।

22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? And scoffers delight them in scoffing, And fools hate knowledge?ହେ ନିର୍ବୋଧଗଣ। କେତକୋଳ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିରର୍ଥକ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କରିବାକୁ ଭଲ ପାଇବ ? କେତକୋଳ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ନିନ୍ଦୁକ ଜ୍ଞାନକୁ ପରିହାସ କରିବ ? ହେ ମୂର୍ଖମାନେ ଆଉ କେତକୋଳ ବିଦ୍ଯାକୁ ଘୃଣା କରିବ ?

23 Turn you at my reproof: Behold, I will pour out my spirit upon you; I will make known my words unto you.ମାରେ ବାକ୍ଯକୁ ସାବଧାନ ସହିତ ଶୁଣ। ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣିଥିବା କଥାସବୁ କହିବି। ମୁଁ ଆପଣା ବାକ୍ଯସବୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜଣାଇବି।

24 Because I have called, and ye have refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man hath regarded;କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମାରେ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ନାସ୍ତି କଲ। ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କଲି। ମୁଁ ହାତ ବଢ଼ାଇଲି କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମାରେ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବାକୁ ମନାକଲ।

25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, And would none of my reproof:ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମାରେ ସମସ୍ତ ବାକ୍ଯକୁ ହଯେ ଜ୍ଞାନ କଲ। ମାରେ କୌଣସି ଅନୁୟୋଗକୁ ଚାହିଁଲ ନାହିଁ।

26 I also will laugh in `the day of' your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;ତେଣୁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ବିପଦ ବେଳେ ହସିବି। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଅସୁବିଧା ସମୟରେ ମୁଁ ପରିହାସ କରିବି।

27 When your fear cometh as a storm, And your calamity cometh on as a whirlwind; When distress and anguish come upon you.ପ୍ରଚଣ୍ଡ ଝଡ଼ପରି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଧ୍ବଂସ ଆସିବ। ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଆଘାତ କରିବ ଏବଂ ଘୂର୍ଣ୍ଣିବାଯୁ ପରି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ପୋଡି଼ ପକାଇବ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଅସୁବିଧା ଓ ଦୁଃଖ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ବୋଝ ହବେ।

28 Then will they call upon me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently, but they shall not find me:ଯେତବେେଳେ ଏହିସବୁ ଘଟିବ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମାରେ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ ଲୋଡ଼ିବ। କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରିବି ନାହିଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେ ମାେତେ ଖାଜେିବ। କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମାେତେ ପାଇବ ନାହିଁ।

29 For that they hated knowledge, And did not choose the fear of Jehovah:ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରିବି ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମାରେ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଗ୍ରହଣ କଲ ନାହିଁ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଏହା ଘୃଣାକର। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ସମ୍ମାନ ଦବୋ ପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ନାସ୍ତି କଲ।

30 They would none of my counsel; They despised all my reproof.ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ନିଜ ଇଚ୍ଛା ରେ ବାସ କଲ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ନିଜର ମନ୍ଦବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥାଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଅନୁସରଣ କଲ। ତେଣୁ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିଜ କର୍ମର ଫଳ ନିଶ୍ଚଯ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବ।

31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, And be filled with their own devices.ନିର୍ବୋଧ ଲୋକମାନେ ନିର୍ବୋଧ ଜୀବନଶୈଳିକୁ ପରିଚାଳିତ ଦିଅନ୍ତି, ଯାହା ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ବିନାଶ କରିବ। ନିର୍ବୋଧମାନେ କୁକର୍ମର ପ୍ରତିଫଳ ନିମନ୍ତେ ସମାନେେ ଧ୍ବଂସ ପାଇବେ।

32 For the backsliding of the simple shall slay them, And the careless ease of fools shall destroy them.କିନ୍ତୁ ୟିଏ କହେି ମାରେକଥା ଶୁଣିବ, ସେ ସୁରକ୍ଷା ରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବ। ତାହାର କବେେ ହେଲେ କୌଣସି ଦୁର୍ଭାଗ୍ଯ ନ ଥିବ।

33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell securely, And shall be quiet without fear of evil.ମାତ୍ର ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ମାରେ ବାକ୍ଯ ମାନି ଚଳେ। ସେ ନିରାପଦ ରେ ବାସ କରିବ, ତା'ର ଅମଙ୍ଗଳ ହବେ ନାହିଁ।
