ஒருவன் தன் அடிமையைச் சிறுபிராயமுதல் இளக்காரமாக வளர்த்தால், முடிவிலே அவன் தன்னைப் புத்திரனாகப் பாராட்டுவான்.

ஆகையால் செருபாபேலின் நாட்களிலும், நெகேமியாவின் நாட்களிலும், இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் எல்லோரும் பாடகர்களுக்கும் வாசல் காவலாளர்களுக்கும் அனுதின ஒழுங்கின்படி வேலைளைக் கொடுத்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் லேவியர்களுக்கென்று பிரதிஷ்டை செய்துகொடுத்தார்கள்; லேவியர்கள் ஆரோனின் சந்ததிக்கென்று அவர்கள் வேலைகளைப் பிரதிஷ்டை செய்துகொடுத்தார்கள்.

எனவே செருபாபேலின் காலத்திலும் நெகேமியாவின் காலத்திலும் இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்கள் அனைவரும் பாடகர்களுக்கும், வாசல் காவலர்களுக்கும் ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் உதவிசெய்து வந்தனர். ஜனங்கள் மற்ற லேவியர்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கவேண்டியதைக் கொடுக்க ஏற்பாடுச்செய்தனர். லேவியர்கள் ஆரோனின் (ஆசாரியர்) சந்ததிக்கென்று உரிய பங்கைக் கொடுக்க ஏற்பாடு செய்தனர்.
