1 Adam, Sheth, Enosh,ਆਦਮ ਤੋਂ ਨੂਹ ਤੀਕ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਇਤਹਾਸ ਆਦਮ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਉਸਦੀ ਵੰਸ਼ ਦੇ ਅਗਲੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਸਨ ਸੇਥ, ਅਨੋਸ਼, ਕੇਨਾਨ, ਮਹਲਲੇਲ, ਯਰਦ, ਹਨੋਕ, ਮਥੂਸ਼ਲਹ, ਲਾਮਕ, ਨੂਹ!

2 Kenan, Mahalaleel, Jered,

3 Henoch, Methuselah, Lamech,

4 Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.ਸ਼ੇਮ, ਹਾਮ ਤੇ ਯਾਫ਼ਥ ਨੂਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ।

5 Sons of Japheth: Gomer and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.ਯਾਫ਼ਥ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਗੋਮਰ, ਮਾਗੋਗ, ਮਾਦਈ, ਯਾਵਾਨ, ਤੁਬਲ, ਮਸ਼ਕ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਰਾਸ ਅਗੋਂ ਯਾਫ਼ਥ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ।

6 And sons of Gomer: Ashchenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.ਅਤੇ ਗੋਮਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ ਅਸ਼ਕਨਜ਼, ਰੀਫਥ ਅਤੇ ਤੋਂਗਰਮਾਹ।

7 And sons of Javan: Elisha, and Tarshishah, Kittim, and Dodanim.ਯਾਵਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾਹ, ਤਰਸ਼ੀਸ਼, ਕਿੱਤੀਮ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਦਾਨੀਮ ਸਨ।

8 Sons of Ham: Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.ਹਾਮ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਹਾਮ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ ਕੂਸ਼, ਮਿਸਰਯਿਮ, ਪੂਟ ਅਤੇ ਕਨਾਨ।

9 And sons of Cush: Seba and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecka. And sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.ਅਤੇ ਕੂਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਬਾ, ਹਵੀਲਾਹ, ਸਬਤਾ, ਰਅਮਾਹ, ਅਤੇ ਸਬਤਕਾ ਸਨ। ਅਤੇ ਰਅਮਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਬਾ ਅਤੇ ਦਦਾਨ ਸਨ।

10 And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the land.ਅਤੇ ਕੂਸ਼ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੋ ਨਿਮਰੋਦ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਤਾਕਤਵਰ ਤੇ ਬਹਾਦੁਰ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਹੋਇਆ।

11 And Mizraim begat the Ludim, and the Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuhim,ਮਿਸਰਯਿਮ (ਮਿਸਰੀ) ਲੂਦੀਮ, ਅਨਾਮ, ਲਹਾਬੀਮ ਅਤੇ ਨਫ਼ਤੂਹੀਮ ਦਾ।

12 and the Pathrusim, and the Casluhim (from whom came out the Philistim), and the Caphtorim.ਪਤਰੁਸੀਮ, ਕਸਲੁਹੀਮ ਅਤੇ ਕਫ਼ਤੋਰੀਮ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ। (ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀ ਕਸਲੁਹੀਮ ਚੋ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਏ।)

13 And Canaan begat Zidon his first born, and Heth,ਸੀਦੋਨ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਕਨਾਨ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਕਨਾਨ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲੋਠਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਕਨਾਨ ਹੇਬੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ।

14 and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,ਅਤੇ ਯਬੂਸੀ, ਅਮੋਰੀ ਗਿਰਗਾਸ਼ੀ ਲੋਕ,

15 and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,ਹਿੱਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਕੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੀਨੀ ਲੋਕ

16 and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.ਅਤੇ ਅਰਵਾਦੀ, ਸਮਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਮਾਥੀ।

17 Sons of Shem: Elam and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.ਸ਼ੇਮ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਸ਼ੇਮ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ: ਏਲਾਮ, ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ, ਅਰਪਕਸਦ, ਲੂਦ ਅਰਾਮ। ਅਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਊਸ, ਹੂਲ, ਗਥਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਸ਼ਕ ਸਨ।

18 And Arphaxad begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.ਅਰਪਕਸਦ ਸ਼ਾਲਹ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਲਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਏਬਰ ਸੀ।

19 And to Eber have been born two sons, the name of the one `is' Peleg, for in his days hath the land been divided, and the name of his brother is Joktan.ਏਬਰ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਨਮੇ, ਇੱਕ ਦਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਪਲਗ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤਲੇ ਲੋਕ ਅੱਡ-ਅੱਡ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੰਡੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਪਲਗ ਦਾ ਭਰਾ ਯਾਕਟਾਨ ਸੀ।

20 And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,(ਅਤੇ ਯਾਕਟਾਨ ਅਲਮੋਦਾਦ, ਸ਼ਾਲਫ਼, ਹਸਰਮਾਵਥ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਰਹ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ।

21 and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,ਅਤੇ ਹਦੋਰਾਮ, ਊਜ਼ਾਲ ਦੇ ਦਿਕਲਾਹ,

22 and Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,ਏਬਾਲ, ਅਬੀਮਾਏਲ, ਸਬਾ,

23 and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab; all these `are' sons of Joktan.ਓਫ਼ੀਰ, ਹਵੀਲਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਬਾਬ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਾਕਟਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ।)

24 Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,ਸ਼ੇਮ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਇਉਂ ਸਨ: ਅਪਰਕਸਦ, ਸਾਲਹ,

25 Eber, Peleg, Reu,ਏਬਰ, ਪਲਗ, ਰਊ,

26 Serug, Nahor, Terah,ਸਰੂਗ, ਨਾਹੋਰ, ਤਾਰਹ,

27 Abram -- he `is' Abraham.ਅਤੇ ਅਬਰਾਮ। (ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਵੀ ਆਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।)

28 Sons of Abraham: Isaac and Ishmael.ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦਾ ਘਰਾਣਾ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ਼ਮਾਏਲ।

29 These `are' their generations: first-born of Ishmael, Nebaioth, and Kedar, and Adheel, and Mibsam,ਇਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਸਨ: ਇਸ਼ਮਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲੋਠਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਬਾਯੋਥ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ: ਕੇਦਾਰ, ਅਦਬੇਲ, ਮਿਬਸਾਮ,

30 Mishma, and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema,ਮਿਸ਼ਮਾ, ਦੂਮਾਹ, ਮੱਸਾ, ਹਦਦ, ਤੇਮਾ,

31 Jetur, Naphish, and Kedema. These are sons of Ishmael.ਯਟੂਰ, ਨਾਫ਼ੀਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਦਮਾਹ। ਇਹ ਸਭ ਇਸ਼ਮਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਔਲਾਦ ਸੀ।

32 And sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bare Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And sons of Jokshan: Sheba and Dedan.ਕਤੂਰਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਕਤੂਰਾਹ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦੀ ਦਾਸੀ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜਿਮਰਾਨ, ਯਾਕਸਾਨ, ਮਦਾਨ ਮਿਦਯਾਨ, ਯਿਸ਼ਬਾਕ ਤੇ ਸ਼ੁਆਹ ਨੂੰ ਜੰਮਿਆ। ਅਤੇ ਯਾਕਸ਼ਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਬਾ ਅਤੇ ਦਦਾਨ ਸਨ।

33 And sons of Midian: Ephah and Epher, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaah; all these `are' sons of Keturah.ਮਿਦਯਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ: ਏਫ਼ਾਹ, ਏਫ਼ਰ, ਹਨੋਕ, ਅਬੀਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਲਦਾਆਹ। ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕਤੂਰਾਹ ਦੇ ਉਤਰਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਸਨ।

34 And Abraham begetteth Isaac. Sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.ਸਾਰਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਏਸਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਸਨ।

35 Sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.ਏਸਾਓ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ: ਅਲੀਫ਼ਾਜ਼, ਰਊੇਲ, ਯਊਸ਼, ਯਅਲਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਰਹ।

36 Sons of Eliphaz: Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.ਅਲੀਫ਼ਾਜ਼ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ-ਤੇਮਾਨ, ਓਮਾਰ, ਸਫ਼ੀ, ਗਅਤਾਮ, ਕਨਜ਼ ਤਿਮਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਾਲੇਕ ਸਨ।

37 Sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.ਰਊੇਲ ਦੇ ਨਹਥ, ਜ਼ਰਹ, ਸ਼ੱਮਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਮਿੱਜ਼ਾਹ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ।

38 And sons of Seir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezar, and Dishan.ਸੇਈਰ ਤੋਂ ਅਦੋਮੀ ਸੇਈਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਲੋਟਾਨ, ਸ਼ੋਬਾਲ, ਸਿਬਓਨ, ਅਨਾਹ, ਦੀਸ਼ੋਨ, ਏਸਰ ਅਤੇ ਦੀਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਨ।

39 And sons of Lotan: Hori and Homam, and sister of Lotan `is' Timna.ਲੋਟਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ-ਹੋਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਮਾਮ ਸਨ। ਲੋਟਾਨ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਭੈਣ ਵੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਤਿਮਨਾ ਸੀ।

40 Sons of Shobal: Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And sons of Zideon: Aiah and Anah.ਸ਼ੋਬਾਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ: ਅਲਯਾਨ, ਮਾਨਹਥ, ਏਬਾਲ, ਸਫ਼ੀ ਤੇ ਓਨਾਮ। ਸਿਬਓਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਯ੍ਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਅਨਾਹ ਸਨ।

41 The sons of Anah: Dishon. and sons of Dishon: Amram, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.ਅਨਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੀਸ਼ੋਨ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੀਸ਼ੋਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ: ਹਮਰਾਨ, ਅਸ਼ਬਾਨ, ਯਿਥਰਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਰਾਨ।

42 Sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Zavan, Jakan. Sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.ਏਸ਼ਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਿਲਹਾਨ, ਜ਼ਅਵਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਯਅਕਾਨ ਸਨ। ਦੀਸ਼ਾਨ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ ਊਸ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਾਨ।

43 And these `are' the kings who reigned in the land of Edom before the reigning of a king of the sons of Israel: Bela son of Beor, and the name of his city `is' Dinhabah.ਅਦੋਮ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਉੱਪਰ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਅਦੋਮ ਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ: ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਲਾ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਬਓਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਦਿਨਹਾਬਾਹ ਸੀ।

44 And Bela dieth, and reign in his stead doth Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrali;ਜਦੋਂ ਬਲਾ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋਈ ਤਾਂ ਜ਼ਰਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਬਾਬ ਨਵਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਿਆ। ਯੋਬਾਬ ਬਸਰਾਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਸੀ।

45 and Jobab dieth, and reign in his stead doth Husham from the land of the Temanite;ਜਦੋਂ ਯੋਬਾਬ ਮਰਿਆ ਤਦ ਹੂਸ਼ਾਮ ਨਵਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਿਆ। ਹੂਸ਼ਾਮ ਤੇਮਾਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੀ।

46 and Husham dieth, and reign in his stead doth Hadad, son of Bedad (who smiteth Midian in the field of Moab) and the name of his city `is' Avith;ਜਦੋਂ ਹੂਸ਼ਾਮ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋਈ, ਬਦਦ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹਦਦ ਨਵਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਿਆ। ਹਦਦ ਨੇ ਮਿਦਯਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਹਦਦ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਅਵਿਥ ਸੀ।

47 and Hadad dieth, and reign in his stead doth Samlah from Masrekah;ਜਦ ਹਦਦ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਸਮਲਾਹ ਨਵਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਿਆ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਮਸਰੇਕਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਸੀ।

48 and Samlah dieth, and reign in his stead doth Shaul from Rehoboth of the River;ਜਦੋਂ ਸਮਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋਈ ਤਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨਵਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਿਆ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਰਹੋਬੋਥ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਯੁਫ਼ਰਾਤ ਦਰਿਆ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ।

49 and Shaul dieth, and reign in his stead doth Baal-Hanan son of Achbor;ਜਦੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਮਰਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਅਕਬੋਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਆਲ-ਹਾਨਾਨ ਉਸਦੀ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ।

50 and Baal-Hanan dieth, and reign in his stead doth Hadad, and the name of his city `is' Pai, and the name of his wife `is' Mehetabel daughter of Matred, daughter of Me-Zahab; Hadad also dieth.ਜਦੋਂ ਬਆਲ-ਹਾਨਨ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋਈ ਤਾਂ ਹਦਦ ਨਵਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਿਆ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਸੀ ਪਈ। ਹਦਦ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਸੀ ਮਹੇਟਬੇਲ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਮਟਰੇਦ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਮਟਰੇਦ ਮੇਜ਼ਾਹਾਬ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਸੀ।

51 And chiefs of Edom are: chief Timnah, chief Aliah, chief Jetheth,ਫ਼ਿਰ ਹਦਦ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਅਦੋਮ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਤਿਮਨਾ, ਅਲਯਾਹ, ਯਤੇਤ

52 chief Aholibamah, chief Elah, chief Pinon,ਆਹਲੀਬਾਮਾਹ, ਏਲਾਹ, ਪੀਨੋਨ,

53 chief Kenaz, chief Teman, chief Mibzar,ਕਨਜ਼, ਤੇਮਾਨ, ਮਿਬਸਾਰ,

54 chief Magdiel, chief Iram. These `are' chiefs of Edom.ਮਗਦੀਏਲ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਈਰਾਮ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਅਦੋਮੀ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੂਚੀ ਸੀ।
