ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਲੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤਬਾਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
