ਫ਼ੌਜੀ ਸਮੂਹ ਇਹ ਸੂਚੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਹਰ ਸਮੂਹ ਦੀ ਸਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੀਨਾ ਕੰਮ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਸੀ। ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਥੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਕ, ਕਪਤਾਨ, ਸਰਦਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਲਸੀਏ ਸਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ’ਚ ਹਾਜ਼ਿਰ ਸਨ। ਹਰੇਕ ਫ਼ੌਜੀ ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿੱਚ 24,000 ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਨ।

ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਣਨਾ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਣਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕੀ ਅਣਗਿਣਤ ਸਨ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚਲੇ ਤਾਰਿਆਂ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਹੀ ਆਦਮੀ ਗਿਣੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ 20 ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਸਨ।
