1 Samuel 23:9
ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜਨ ਦੀ ਸਾਜਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਅਬਯਾਥਾਰ ਜਾਜਕ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਉਹ ਏਫ਼ੋਦ ਲੈ ਆ।”

ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਅਬਯਾਥਾਰ ਸੀ ਬਚ ਗਿਆ। ਅਬਯਾਥਾਰ ਅਹੀਟੂਬ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਭੱਜਕੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਲੱਗ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
