1 Samuel 27:9
ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਜਾਂ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਥੇ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਨਾ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਇੱਜੜ, ਵੱਗ, ਖੋਤੇ, ਊਠ ਅਤੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਆਦਿ ਸਭ ਲੁੱਟ ਲਈ।

| and took away | וְלָקַח֩ | wĕlāqaḥ | veh-la-KAHK |
| the sheep, | צֹ֨אן | ṣōn | tsone |
| oxen, the and | וּבָקָ֜ר | ûbāqār | oo-va-KAHR |
| and the asses, | וַֽחֲמֹרִ֤ים | waḥămōrîm | va-huh-moh-REEM |
| and the camels, | וּגְמַלִּים֙ | ûgĕmallîm | oo-ɡeh-ma-LEEM |
| apparel, the and | וּבְגָדִ֔ים | ûbĕgādîm | oo-veh-ɡa-DEEM |
| and returned, | וַיָּ֖שָׁב | wayyāšob | va-YA-shove |
| and came | וַיָּבֹ֥א | wayyābōʾ | va-ya-VOH |
| to | אֶל | ʾel | el |
