2 Kings 19:37
ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਨਿਸਰੋਕ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਅੰਦਰਮਲਕ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਸਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਹ ਅਰਾਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਭੱਜ ਗਏ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਸਨਹੇਰੀਬ ਦੀ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਉਸਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਰਹਦੋਨ ਨਵਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਿਆ।

ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਰੂਹ ਫ਼ੂਕਾਂਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਅਫ਼ਵਾਹ ਸੁਣੇਗਾ ਤੇ ਸੁਣਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਭੱਜ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਢਣ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਣ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ।’”

ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦੱਸੋ: ‘ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਧੋਖਾ ਨਾ ਖਾ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੂੰ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਉਹ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਰਾਵੇਗਾ।

ਨਾ ਹੀ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਕੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉੱਪਰ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕਰਾਵੇ ਕਿ “ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਅ ਲਵੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਅੱਸੂਰ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਵੇਗਾ!”
2 Kings 18:5
ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਸੀ। ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵੀ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ।
Deuteronomy 32:31
ਸਾਡੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾ ਦੀ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਸਾਡੀ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਵਾਂਗ ਤਕੜੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਵੀ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ!
