2 Chronicles 10:8
ਪਰ ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਨੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਤ ਨੂੰ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਜੁਆਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਸ਼ਵਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਵੱਡੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।

Isaiah 30:1
ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਮਿਸਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਵੱਲ ਦੇਖੋ। ਇਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਦੇ। ਇਹ ਯੋਜਨਾਵਾਂ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ। ਇਹ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਮੇਰੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਉਹ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ। ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਨਾਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਰ-ਹੋਰ ਗੁਨਾਹ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।

ਸਿਆਣੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚਾਰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਹੀ ਰਸਤੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਮੂਰਖ ਬੰਦੇ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚਾਰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਗ਼ਲਤ ਰਸਤੇ ਵੱਲ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅਮਸਯਾਹ ਤੇ ਬੜਾ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋਇਆ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਨਬੀ ਭੇਜਿਆ। ਨਬੀ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਦ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਬਚਾਅ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੱਕੇ?”
