ਤਦ ਜ਼ਰਹ ਜੋ ਕੂਸ਼ੀ ਤੋਂ ਸੀ ਆਸਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਉੱਠਿਆ। ਉੱਸਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ 10,00,000 ਸੈਨਿਕ ਅਤੇ 300 ਰੱਥ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦੂਰ ਤੱਕ ਮਾਰੇਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੀਕ ਗਈ।

ਜਦੋਂ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਕੂਸ਼ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਤਿਰਹਾਕਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਹ ਅਫ਼ਵਾਹ ਸੁਣੀ ਜਿਸ ’ਚ ਇਹ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ, “ਤਿਰਹਾਕਾਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜਨ ਲਈ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ।” ਤਾਂ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਕੋਲ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਵਾਹਕ ਭੇਜੇ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਕੁਝ ਆਖਿਆ:
