ਪਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਜਾਜਕ, ਲੇਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਰੋਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਨੀਹਾਂ ਵੇਖੀਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉੱਚੀ-ਉੱਚੀ ਰੋਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ। ਜਦ ਕਿ ਬਾਕੀ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਬੜੇ ਖੁਸ਼ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੋਰ ਮਚਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।

ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਗਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭ ਨੇ ਇੱਕੋ ਸੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਗੀਤਕ ਸਾਜ਼ ਵਜਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਇੱਕੋ ਸੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੀਤ ਗਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, “ਉਸਦੇ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅਨਂਤ ਪਿਆਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਗਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।” ਤਦ ਹੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਮੰਦਰ ਬੱਦਲ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਿਆ।

ਸੰਗੀਤ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਦਾਊਦ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦੇ ਸੈਨਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਸਾਫ਼ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਸ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਈ ਵੱਖ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਆਸਾਫ਼ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੇਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਯਦੂਥੂਨ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਖਾਸ ਕੰਮ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਅਗੰਮੀ ਵਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਬਤਾਂ, ਦਿਲਰੁਬਾ, ਛੈਣਿਆਂ ਆਦਿ ਸਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੀਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਣਾ ਸੀ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੂਚੀ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੈ:

ਚਾਰ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਲੇਵੀ ਦਰਬਾਨ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ 4,000 ਲੇਵੀ ਸੰਗੀਤਕਾਰ ਹੋਣਗੇ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਖਾਸ ਸਾਜ਼ ਬਣਵਾਏ ਹਨ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਵਜੰਤਰੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਗਾਨ ਕਰਣਗੇ।”

ਹੇਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਯਦੂਥੂਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਗ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਤੁਰ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੰਗੀਆਂ ਵਜਾਉਣਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸਦੇ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਉਹ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਸਾਜ਼ ਵਜਾਉਂਦੇ। ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਗੁਣਗਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਕਈ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਗੀਤਕ ਸਾਜ਼ ਵਜਾਉਂਦੇ। ਯਦੁਥੂਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਫ਼ਾਟਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਵਾਲੀ ਕਰਦੇ।

ਆਸਾਫ਼ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦਲ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਟੋਲੀ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਖੜਤਾਲਾਂ ਵਜਾਉਣਾ ਸੀ। ਜ਼ਕਰਯਾਹ ਦੂਜੇ ਦਲ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਸੀ। ਦੂਜੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ’ਚ ਸਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਉਂ: ਯਈਏਲ, ਸ਼ਮੀਰਾਮੋਥ, ਯਿਹੀਏਲ, ਮਤਿੱਥਯਾਹ, ਅਲੀਆਬ, ਬਨਾਯਾਹ, ਓਬੇਦ-ਅਦੋਮ ਅਤੇ ਯਿਈੇਏਲ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਿਲਰੁਬਾ ਤੇ ਸਾਰੰਗੀਆਂ ਵਜਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ।
Psalm 95:1
ਆਉ, ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰੀਏ। ਆਉ, ਉਸ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਲਈ, ਉਸਤਤਿ ਦੇ ਜੈਕਾਰੇ ਗਾਈਏ। ਜਿਹੜੀ ਸਾਡੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।
