ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਹੁਕਮ ਦੀ ਖਬਰ ਫ਼ੈਲ ਗਈ। ਤਦ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਨਾਜ ਦੀ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ, ਅੰਗਰੂ, ਤੇਲ, ਸ਼ਹਿਦ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ ਦੇਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਹ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਸਵੰਧ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਉਂਦੇ।
