ਤਦ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਨੇਮ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਣ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਲਿਆ। ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ।
