2 Kings 4 - YLT (Punjabi)

1 And a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets hath cried unto Elisha, saying, `Thy servant, my husband, is dead, and thou hast known that thy servant was fearing Jehovah, and the lender hath come to take my two children to him for servants.'ਇੱਕ ਨਬੀ ਦੀ ਵਿਧਵਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਤੋਂ ਮਦਦ ਮੰਗਣਾ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਟੋਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਨਬੀ ਦੀ ਬੀਵੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਦੇ ਪਤੀ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਉਸਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਅੱਗੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਪਿੱਟੀ, “ਮੇਰਾ ਪਤੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਵਰਗਾ ਸੀ। ਹੁਣ ਉਸਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਭੈ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਤੋਂ ਉਧਾਰ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਲੈਣਦਾਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੋ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਲੈਣ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।”

2 And Elisha saith unto her, `What do I do for thee? declare to me, what hast thou in the house?' and she saith, `Thy maid-servant hath nothing in the house except a pot of oil.'ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ? ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ ਕਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਕੀ ਹੈ?” ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਜੈਤੂਨ ਦੇ ਤੇਲ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਮਰਤਬਾਨ ਹੈ।”

3 And he saith, `Go, ask for thee vessels from without, from all thy neighbours -- empty vessels -- let `them' not be few;ਤਦ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤੂੰ ਜਾਹ ਤੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਆਂਢੀਆਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਖਾਲੀ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਮੰਗ ਲਿਆ। ਉਹ ਵੀ ਖਾਲੀ ਹੀ ਹੋਣ। ਤੂੰ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕਰ ਲੈ।

4 and thou hast entered, and shut the door upon thee, and upon thy sons, and hast poured out into all these vessels, and the full ones thou dost remove.'ਫ਼ਿਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਜਾਕੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਲਵੀਂ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਤੂੰ ਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੀ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਹ ਤੇਲ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਾਂਡਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਦੇਵੀਂ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਭਾਂਡਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਲ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਕੇ ਇੱਕ ਪਾਸੇ ਰੱਖ ਦੇਵੀਂ।”

5 And she goeth from him, and shutteth the door upon her, and upon her sons; they are bringing nigh unto her, and she is pouring out,ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਔਰਤ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਾਕੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਲਿਆਂਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਲ ਭਰਿਆ।

6 and it cometh to pass, at the filling of the vessels, that she saith unto her son, `Bring nigh unto me a vessel more,' and he saith unto her, `There is not a vessel more;' and the oil stayeth.ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਭਰ ਲਏ। ਅਖੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਭਾਂਡਾ ਲਿਆਕੇ ਦੇ।” ਪਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਭਰ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਸਨ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਹੋਰ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈਗੇ।” ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਮਰਤਬਾਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਤੇਲ ਖਤਮ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।

7 And she cometh and declareth to the man of God, and he saith, `Go, sell the oil, and repay thy loan; and thou `and' thy sons do live of the rest.'ਤਦ ਉਹ ਔਰਤ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕੋਲ ਆਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ) ਸਾਰਾ ਹਾਲ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ ਹੈ। ਤਾਂ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਜਾ, ਹੁਣ ਜਾਕੇ ਇਹ ਤੇਲ ਵੇਚ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਉਧਾਰ ਉਤਾਰ। ਇਹ ਤੇਲ ਵਿਕਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਤੇਰਾ ਉਧਾਰ ਵੀ ਲੱਥ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਜੋ ਪੈਸੇ ਬਚਣਗੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰਾ ਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।”

8 And the day cometh that Elisha passeth over unto Shunem, and there `is' a great woman, and she layeth hold on him to eat bread, and it cometh to pass, at the time of his passing over, he turneth aside thither to eat bread,ਸ਼ੂਨੇਮ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਔਰਤ ਦਾ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਮਰਾ ਦੇਣਾ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਸ਼ੂਨੇਮ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਘਿਆ। ਉੱਥੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਔਰਤ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਤ ਉੱਥੇ ਠਹਿਰਨ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਭੋਜਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਖਿਆ। ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਉਸ ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਘਦਾ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਘਰੇ ਰੁਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ।

9 and she saith unto her husband, `Lo, I pray thee, I have known that a holy man of God he is, passing over by us continually;ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਵੇਖੋ! ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਅਕਸਰ ਇਸ ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਘਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੈ।

10 let us make, I pray thee, a little upper chamber of the wall, and we set for him there a bed, and a table, and a high seat, and a candlestick; and it hath been, in his coming in unto us, he doth turn aside thither.'ਆਪਾਂ ਛੱਤ ਉੱਪਰ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਕਮਰਾ ਪਾ ਦੇਈਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕਮਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਮੰਜਾ, ਇੱਕ ਮੇਜ ਤੇ ਕੁਰਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਲਾਲਟੇਨ ਰੱਖ ਦੇਈਏ। ਇਉਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਹ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਇਸ ਕਮਰੇ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ।”

11 And the day cometh, that he cometh in thither, and turneth aside unto the upper chamber, and lieth there,ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਕਮਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਥੋੜੀ ਦੇਰ ਰੁਕ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਰਾਮ ਕੀਤਾ।

12 and he saith unto Gehazi his young man, `Call for this Shunammite;' and he calleth for her, and she standeth before him.ਤਦ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਗੇਹਾਜ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਸ ਸ਼ੂਨੰਮੀ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦ ਕੇ ਲਿਆ।” ਸੇਵਕ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਸ਼ੂਨੰਮੀ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਕੇ ਖੜੋ ਗਈ।

13 And he saith to him, `Say, I pray thee, unto her, Lo, thou hast troubled thyself concerning us with all this trouble; what -- to do for thee? is it to speak for thee unto the king, or unto the head of the host?' and she saith, `In the midst of my people I am dwelling.'ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਇਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ ਕਿ, ‘ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਾਡੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਆਓ-ਭਗਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਸੋ ਦੱਸ ਹੁਣ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਕੀ ਕਰੀਏ? ਕੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਂ ਸੈਨਾਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਗੱਲ ਕਰੀਏ?’” ਉਹ ਔਰਤ ਬੋਲੀ, “ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਹੱਸਦੀ ਵੱਸਦੀ ਹਾਂ।”

14 And he saith, `And what -- to do for her?' and Gehazi saith, `Verily she hath no son, and her husband `is' aged.'ਤਾਂ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਗੇਹਾਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ?” ਗੇਹਾਜੀ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਔਰਤ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਇਸਦਾ ਪਤੀ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਬਿਰਧ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ।”

15 And he saith, `Call for her;' and he calleth for her, and she standeth at the opening,ਤਦ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਥੇ ਬੁਲਾ।” ਤਾਂ ਗੇਹਾਜੀ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਆਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਕੋਲ ਖੜੋ ਗਈ।

16 and he saith, `At this season, according to the time of life, thou art embracing a son;' and she saith, `Nay, my lord, O man of God, do not lie unto thy maid-servant.'ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਇਸੇ ਰੁੱਤ ਬਸੰਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਤੇਰੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਗੋਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਤੂੰ ਕਲੋਲ ਕਰੇਗੀ।” ਉਹ ਬੋਲੀ, “ਨਹੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੀ ਟਹਿਲਣ ਨਾਲ ਝੂਠ ਨਾ ਬੋਲ।”

17 And the woman conceiveth and beareth a son, at this season, according to the time of life, that Elisha spake of unto her.ਸ਼ੂਨੇਮ ਦੀ ਔਰਤ ਕੋਲ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਔਰਤ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਤੇ ਉਸੇ ਬਸੰਤ ਦੇ ਮੌਸਮ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਇੱਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਸੀ।

18 And the lad groweth, and the day cometh that he goeth out unto his father, unto the reapers,ਕੁਝ ਦੇਰ ਬਾਅਦ ਬੱਚਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੋਇਆ। ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਉਹ ਬਾਲਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਓ ਨੂੰ ਤੇ ਵਾਢਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਣ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ।

19 and he saith unto his father, `My head, my head;' and he saith unto the young man, `Bear him unto his mother;'ਉਸ ਬਾਲਕ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਓ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਹਾਏ! ਮੇਰਾ ਸਿਰ! ਹਾਏ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਿਰ ਦੁੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ।” ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਟਹਿਲੂਏ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਜਾ, ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਛੱਡ ਆ।”

20 and he beareth him, and bringeth him in unto his mother, and he sitteth on her knees till the noon, and dieth.ਸੇਵਕ ਉਸ ਬਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਛੱਡ ਆਇਆ। ਦੁਪਿਹਰ ਤੱਕ ਬਾਲਕ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੋਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੇਟਿਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਉਹ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ।

21 And she goeth up, and layeth him on the bed of the man of God, and shutteth `the door' upon him, and goeth out,ਔਰਤ ਦਾ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਣਾ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਮੋਏ ਹੋਏ ਬਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਮੰਜੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤੇ ਆਪ ਬਾਹਰ ਚਲੀ ਗਈ।

22 and calleth unto her husband, and saith, `Send, I pray thee, to me, one of the young men, and one of the asses, and I run unto the man of God, and return.'ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸੇਵਕ ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਗਧਾ ਦੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਛੇਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਮੁੜ ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਪਰਤ ਆਵਾਂ।”

23 And he saith, `Wherefore art thou going unto him to-day? -- neither new moon nor sabbath!' and she saith, `Peace `to thee'!'ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਦੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤੂੰ ਅੱਜ ਹੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕੋਲ ਕਿਉਂ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈਂ? ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਅੱਜ ਨਵਾਂ ਚੰਦ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਸਬਤ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ?” ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਨਾ ਕਰ, ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਠੀਕ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।”

24 And she saddleth the ass, and saith unto her young man, `Lead, and go, do not restrain riding for me, except I have said `so' to thee.'ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਗਧੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਕਾਠੀ ਪਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜਲਦੀ ਕਰ, ਤੇ ਚੱਲੀਏ। ਜਦੋਂ ਤੀਕ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਆਖਾਂ ਪਸ਼ੂ ਨੂੰ ਹੌਲੀ ਨਾ ਕਰੀਂ।”

25 And she goeth, and cometh in unto the man of God, unto the hill of Carmel, and it cometh to pass, at the man of God's seeing her from over-against, that he saith unto Gehazi his young man, `Lo, this Shunammite;ਤਦ ਉਹ ਔਰਤ ਕਰਮਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ) ਕੋਲ ਗਈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰੋ ਆਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਗੇਹਾਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਵੇਖ! ਉਹ ਸ਼ੂਨੰਮੀ ਔਰਤ ਹੈ।

26 now, run, I pray thee, to meet her, and say to her, Is there peace to thee? is there peace to thy husband? is there peace to the lad?' and she saith, `Peace.'ਤੂੰ ਹੁਣ ਭੱਜ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਉਹ ਠੀਕ ਰਾਜੀ-ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਤਾਂ ਹੈ? ਕੀ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਤੀ ਠੀਕ ਹੈ? ਕੀ ਉਸਦਾ ਬੱਚਾ ਰਾਜੀ ਹੈ?” ਗੇਹਾਜੀ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਜਾਕੇ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਕਹੀਆਂ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਸਭ ਸੁੱਖ-ਸਾਂਦ ਹੈ।”

27 And she cometh in unto the man of God, unto the hill, and layeth hold on his feet, and Gehazi cometh nigh to thrust her away, and the man of God saith, `Let her alone, for her soul `is' bitter to her, and Jehovah hath hidden `it' from me, and hath not declared `it' to me.'ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕੋਲ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੈਰ ਫ਼ੜ ਲਏ ਅਤੇ ਗੇਹਾਜੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰੇ ਹਟਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਨੇੜੇ ਆਇਆ, ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੇ, ਮਨ੍ਹਾ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸਦਾ ਮਨ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਇਹ ਖਬਰ ਛੁਪਾਈ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ।”

28 And she saith, `Did I ask a son from my lord? did I not say, Do not deceive me?'ਤਦ ਸ਼ੂਨੰਮੀ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਕਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਾ ਵਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਮੰਗਿਆ। ਮੈਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, ‘ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁਮਰਾਹ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ।’”

29 And he saith to Gehazi, `Gird up thy loins, and take my staff in thy hand, and go; when thou dost meet a man, thou dost not salute him; and when a man doth salute thee, thou dost not answer him; and thou hast laid my staff on the face of the youth.'ਤਦ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਗੇਹਾਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋ, ਮੇਰੀ ਲਾਠੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ੜ ਕੇ ਜਾਹ। ਰਾਹ ’ਚ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਨਾ ਰੁਕੀ ਜੇਕਰ ਰਾਹ ’ਚ ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ੁਭਕਾਮਨਵਾਂ ਦੇਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁਭਕਾਮਨਵਾਂ ਨਾ ਦੇਵੀਂ। ਫੇਰ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੋਟੀ ਬੱਚੇ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਾ ਦੇਵੀ ਜੇਕਰ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਕੁਝ ਪੁੱਛੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਨਾ ਦੇਵੀਂ।”

30 And the mother of the youth saith, `Jehovah liveth, and thy soul liveth -- if I leave thee;' and he riseth and goeth after her.ਪਰ ਬੱਚੇ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੌਂਹ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡਾਂਗੀ।” ਤਾਂ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਤੁਰ ਪਿਆ।

31 And Gehazi hath passed on before them, and layeth the staff on the face of the youth, and there is no voice, and there is no attention, and he turneth back to meet him, and declareth to him, saying, `The youth hath not awaked.'ਗੇਹਾਜੀ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਤੇ ਸੋਟੀ ਰਖੀ ਪਰ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਸੀ ਨਾ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਸੁਰਤ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਵਾਪਸ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ, “ਬੱਚਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਗਿਆ।”

32 And Elisha cometh in to the house, and lo, the youth is dead, laid on his bed,ਸ਼ੂਨੰਮੀ ਔਰਤ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਉਣੇ ਜਦ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੋਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਬਾਲਕ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੰਜੇ ਤੇ ਪਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।

33 and he goeth in and shutteth the door upon them both, and prayeth unto Jehovah.ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਕਮਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ। ਹੁਣ ਉਹ ਬਾਲਕ ਤੇ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਕਮਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕਲੇ ਸਨ ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।

34 And he goeth up, and lieth down on the lad, and putteth his mouth on his mouth, and his eyes on his eyes, and his hands on his hands, and stretcheth himself upon him, and the flesh of the lad becometh warm;ਤਦ ਉਹ ਮੰਜੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਬਾਲਕ ਉੱਪਰ ਲੇਟ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਬਾਲਕ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਉੱਪਰ, ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖੀਆਂ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖੀਆਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਰੱਖੇ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਬੱਚੇ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਉੱਪਰ ਪੱਸਰ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਿੱਘ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਬੱਚੇ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਨਿੱਘਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।

35 and he turneth back and walketh in the house, once hither and once thither, and goeth up and stretcheth himself upon him, and the youth sneezeth till seven times, and the youth openeth his eyes.ਫ਼ੇਰ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਹਟ ਕੇ ਕਮਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਧਰ ਉੱਧਰ ਟਹਿਲਣ ਲੱਗਾ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਹ ਵਾਪਸ ਜਾਕੇ ਬਾਲਕ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਉੱਪਰ ਲੇਟ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੇ ਸੱਤ ਵਾਰੀ ਛਿਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ।

36 And he calleth unto Gehazi, and saith, `Call unto this Shunammite;' and he calleth her, and she cometh in unto him, and he saith, `Lift up thy son.'ਤਦ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਗੇਹਾਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਜਾ, ਉਸ ਸ਼ੂਨੰਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦ ਕੇ ਲਿਆ।” ਗੇਹਾਜੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦ ਲਿਆਇਆ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਕੋਲ ਆਈ। ਫੇਰ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਹੁਣ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਗੋਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਸੱਕਦੀ ਹੈ।”

37 And she goeth in, and falleth at his feet, and boweth herself to the earth, and lifteth up her son, and goeth out.ਤਦ ਸ਼ੂਨੰਮੀ ਔਰਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਕਮਰੇ ’ਚ ਆਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਕੇ ਉਸ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਣ ਛੂਹੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੁੱਛੜ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਆ ਗਈ।

38 And Elisha hath turned back to Gilgal, and the famine `is' in the land, and the sons of the prophets are sitting before him, and he saith to his young man, `Set on the great pot, and boil pottage for the sons of the prophets.'ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਹਰੀਲਾ ਸ਼ੋਰਬਾ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਗਿਲਗਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜਿਆ, ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉੱਥੇ ਨਬੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਟੋਲਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਬੈਠਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਭੱਠੀ ਉੱਪਰ ਵੱਡੀ ਦੇਗ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਸ਼ੋਰਬਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰ।”

39 And one goeth out unto the field to gather herbs, and findeth a vine of the field, and gathereth of it gourds of the field -- the fulness of his garment -- and cometh in and splitteth `them' into the pot of pottage, for they knew `them' not;ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਸ਼ੋਰਬੇ ਲਈ ਖੇਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਬਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਲੈਣ ਗਿਆ। ਉੱਥੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਵੇਲ ਲੱਭੀ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਉਹ ਫ਼ਲ ਤੋੜ ਲਿਆਇਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਫ਼ਲ ਤੋੜਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਝੋਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਰ ਲਏ ਤੇ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਫ਼ਾੜੀਆਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਬਲਦੀ ਦੇਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੋਰਬੇ ਲਈ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਪਰ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਉਸ ਟੋਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਪਤਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਕਿਸ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਲ ਹਨ।

40 and they pour out for the men to eat, and it cometh to pass at their eating of the pottage, that they have cried out, and say, `Death `is' in the pot, O man of God!' and they have not been able to eat.ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਸ਼ੋਰਬਾ ਸਭ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਪਰੋਸਿਆ ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਸ਼ੋਰਬੇ ਨੂੰ ਚਖਣ ਲੱਗੇ ਤੇ ਚਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਚੀਕ ਉੱਠੇ ਕਿ ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਹ ਦੇਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੋਰਬਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੌਤ ਹੈ। ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਇਸਦਾ ਸੁਆਦ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਸ਼ੋਰਬਾ ਖਾ ਨਾ ਸੱਕੇ।

41 And he saith, `Then bring ye meal;' and he casteth into the pot, and saith, `Pour out for the people, and they eat;' and there was no evil thing in the pot.ਪਰ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਕੁਝ ਆਟਾ ਲਿਆਓ।” ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਆਟਾ ਲਿਆਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਆਟਾ ਉਸ ਸ਼ੋਰਬੇ ਦੀ ਦੇਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਤਦ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹੁਣ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦੇਗ ਮੁੜ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੋਸੋ। ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਪੇਟ ਭਰ ਸੱਕਣ।” ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਉਸ ਸ਼ੋਰਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਕਸਰ ਨਾ ਰਹੀ।

42 And a man hath come from Baal-Shalishah, and bringeth in to the man of God bread of first-fruits, twenty loaves of barley, and full ears of corn in its husk, and he saith, `Give to the people, and they eat.'ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਦਾ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਟੋਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਭੋਜ ਕਰਾਉਣਾ ਬਆਲ ਸ਼ਲੀਸ਼ਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੇਤ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜੌਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਰੋਟੀਆਂ ਦੇ 20 ਟੁਕੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਝੋਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਲਈ ਤਾਜ਼ਾ ਅਨਾਜ ਲਿਆਇਆ। ਤਦ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਇਹ ਭੋਜਨ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੰਡ ਦੇ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਖਾ ਸੱਕਣ।”

43 And his minister saith, `What -- do I give this before a hundred men?' and he saith, `Give to the people, and they eat, for thus said Jehovah, Eat and leave;'ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਭਲਾ ਮੈਂ 100 ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਇਹ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਪਰੋਸ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ!” ਪਰ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਖਾਣ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਫ਼ਰਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਖਾਣਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਬਾਕੀ ਹੀ ਛੱਡਣਗੇ ਰੋਟੀਆਂ ਥੁੜਣਗੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ।”

44 and he giveth before them, and they eat and leave, according to the word of Jehovah.ਤਦ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਭੋਜਨ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਟੋਲੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਪਰੋਸ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਜੀਅ ਭਰਕੇ ਖਾਧਾ। ਤਦ ਵੀ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਬਚ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਕਹੇ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਉਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਹੋਇਆ।
