2 Samuel 23:16
ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਇੱਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਘਕੇ ਬੈਤਲਹਮ ਦੇ ਖੂਹ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਭਰਿਆ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਿ ਉਸੇ ਫ਼ਾਟਕ ਉੱਪਰ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਭਰਕੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆਕੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਪਰ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾ ਪੀਤਾ ਸਗੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਟ ਵਜੋਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਡੋਲ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
