ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਤੇਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਣਗੇ।”

ਬਹਾਰ ਦੇ ਮੌਸਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਨ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੜਨ ਲਈ ਕੁਝ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਨ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਹਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਬਾਬਲ ਲੈ ਆਏ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਨ ਦੇ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਦੀ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਚੁਣਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਸੀ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ।

ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਨ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦੀ ਬਣਾਕੇ ਬਾਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ, ਉਸਦੀਆਂ ਬੀਵੀਆਂ, ਅਫ਼ਸਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਗੂ ਨੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ-ਕਹਾਉਂਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਬਾਬਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੈਦੀ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਲਿਆਇਆ।

ਤਦ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੜ ਕੇ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਕੋਲ ਰਿਬਲਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਏ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੰਡ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਵਿੱਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਨੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ। ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਤਦ ਤੀਕ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਬਣਕੇ ਰਹੇ ਜਦ ਤੀਕ ਕਿ ਫ਼ਾਰਸ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਬਾਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਰ ਨਾ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਰਾਜ ਨਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਕੀਤਾ।
Jeremiah 39:7
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਨੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਂਬੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਜ਼ੰਜ਼ੀਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ।
Ezekiel 17:12
“ਇਸ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਾਓ-ਉਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੱਸ: ਪਹਿਲਾ ਬਾਜ਼ (ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਹੈ) ਬਾਬਲ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੜ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ। ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ।

ਦਾਨੀਏਲ ਦਾ ਬਾਬਲ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਬਾਬਲ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਸੀ। ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਆਇਆ। ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨਾਲ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰਾ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ। ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਉਦੋਂ ਵਾਪਰੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਤੀਸਰਾ ਵਰ੍ਹਾ ਸੀ।
