ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹਰਾਏ ਗਏ ਰਾਜੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਬ ਵੱਲ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਅਰਨੋਨ ਦੀ ਵਾਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਹਰਮੋਨ ਪਰਬਤ ਤੱਕ ਅਤੇ ਯਰਦਨ ਵਾਦੀ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਬੀ ਪਾਸੇ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜੇ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ, ਇਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਹਰਾਇਆ ਸੀ:

ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਵੰਡ ਰਊਬੇਨ, ਗਾਦ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦੇ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਅੱਧੇ ਪਰਿਵਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਲੈ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਬ ਵੱਲ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ।
