Acts 17:29
“ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਹਾਂ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੋਚਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਕੁਝ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਲੋਕ ਸੋਚਦੇ ਜਾਂ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਸੋਨੇ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਜਾਂ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਣੀਆਂ ਮੂਰਤਾਂ ਵਰਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।

Habakkuk 2:19
ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਾੜਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜੋ ਇੱਕ ਲੱਕੜ ਦੀ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ, “ਉੱਠ!” ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਾੜਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜੋ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੀ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਸਿੱਖਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ! ਉਹ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਮਦਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇ ਸੱਕਦੀਆਂ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਮੂਰਤਾਂ ਸੋਨੇ-ਚਾਂਦੀ ਨਾਲ ਢੱਕੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ, ਉਹ ਬੇਜਾਨ ਹਨ।
Isaiah 46:5

Isaiah 44:9

Isaiah 40:12
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਸਾਜੀ, ਓਹੀ ਇਸਤੇ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਸਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਦੀ ਹਬੇਲੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਪਿਆ? ਕਿਸਨੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਪਣ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਦਾ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ? ਕਿਸਨੇ ਖਾਲਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਪਣ ਲਈ ਪਿਆਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਵਰਤਿਆ? ਕਿਸਨੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਅਤੇ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਤੋਂਲਣ ਲਈ ਤੱਕੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਵਰਤਿਆ? ਇਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹੀ ਸੀ!
Psalm 115:4
ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਨਾਲ ਬਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਬੁੱਤ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਇਨਸਾਨੀ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਬਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਹਨ।

Exodus 32:4
ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਸੋਨਾ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਰਤਕੇ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਛੇ ਦੀ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਬਣਾਈ। ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੇ ਛੈਣੀ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਘੜਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੋਨਾ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਇਆ। ਤਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕੋ, ਇਹ ਹਨ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ। ਇਹੀ ਉਹ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਏ।”
Exodus 20:4
“ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਬੁੱਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਨਾਉਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ। ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਾਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਚੀਜ਼ ਦੇ ਬੁੱਤ ਜਾਂ ਤਸਵੀਰਾਂ ਨਾ ਬਨਾਓ।
Jeremiah 10:4
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਿਂਗਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਬੋੜੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਸੋਨੇ-ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦਾ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਹਬੋੜਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਿੱਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਿਆ ਸੀ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਡਿੱਗ ਨਾ ਪੈਣ।
Isaiah 40:25
ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੁਰੱਖ (ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ) ਆਖਦੀ ਹੈ: “ਤੁਲਨਾ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋ ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੀ? ਨਹੀਂ! ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਸਾਨੀ ਮੇਰਾ।”
