ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਪਰ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਸੈਨਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਕੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਰੋਮੀ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਨੂੰ ਕੋੜੇ ਮਾਰਨ ਦਾ ਹੱਕ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਕਿ ਕਸੂਰ ਵੀ ਸਾਬਿਤ ਨਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੋਵੇ?”

ਸੈਨਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਯੂਲਿਉਸ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਯੂਲਿਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਗੋਂ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੈਰਨਾ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਛਾਲ ਮਾਰਕੇ ਤੈਰ ਕੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਜਾ ਨਿਕਲਣ।
Acts 27:3
ਅਗਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਅਸੀਂ ਸੈਦਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਉੱਤਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਲਿਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨਾਲ ਬੜਾ ਚੰਗਾ ਸਲੂਕ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਥੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਿੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਦੀ ਪਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਿੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਿਆ।
Acts 27:1
ਪੌਲੁਸ ਦਾ ਰੋਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਾ ਇਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਤਾਲਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ। ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਹੋਰ ਕੈਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਯੂਲਿਉਸ ਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੈਨਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਯੂਲਿਉਸ “ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ” ਨਾਮੇ ਖਾਸ ਸੈਨਾ ਸਮੂਹ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਸੀ।
