Deuteronomy 28:30
“ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਇੱਕ ਔਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਮੰਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਹੋਵੋਂਗੇ ਪਰ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਬੰਦਾ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਕਾਨ ਬਨਾਵੋਂਗੇ ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹੋਂਗੇ ਨਹੀਂ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅੰਗੂਰਾ ਦਾ ਬਾਗ ਲਾਵੋਂਗੇ ਪਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਸਤੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।

| and another | וְאִ֤ישׁ | wĕʾîš | veh-EESH |
| man | אַחֵר֙ | ʾaḥēr | ah-HARE |
| lie shall | יִשְׁגָּלֶנָּה | yišgālennâ | yeesh-ɡa-leh-NA |
| build shalt thou her: with | בַּ֥יִת | bayit | BA-yeet |
| an house, | תִּבְנֶ֖ה | tibne | teev-NEH |
| not shalt thou and | וְלֹֽא | wĕlōʾ | veh-LOH |
| dwell | תֵשֵׁ֣ב | tēšēb | tay-SHAVE |
| therein: thou shalt plant | בּ֑וֹ | bô | boh |
| vineyard, a | כֶּ֥רֶם | kerem | KEH-rem |
| and shalt not | תִּטַּ֖ע | tiṭṭaʿ | tee-TA |
| gather the grapes | וְלֹ֥א | wĕlōʾ | veh-LOH |
| thereof. | תְחַלְּלֶֽנּוּ׃ | tĕḥallĕlennû | teh-ha-leh-LEH-noo |
