Deuteronomy 4:11
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨੇੜੇ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਦੇ ਕਦਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਲੋ ਗਏ। ਪਰਬਤ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਛੂੰਹਦਾ, ਅੱਗ ਨਾਲ ਸੜਨ ਲੱਗਾ। ਓੱਥੇ ਕਾਲੇ ਬੋਲੇ ਬੱਦਲ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਸੀ।

| burned | בֹּעֵ֤ר | bōʿēr | boh-ARE |
| fire with | בָּאֵשׁ֙ | bāʾēš | ba-AYSH |
| unto | עַד | ʿad | ad |
| the midst | לֵ֣ב | lēb | lave |
| of heaven, | הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם | haššāmayim | ha-sha-MA-yeem |
| darkness, with | חֹ֖שֶׁךְ | ḥōšek | HOH-shek |
| clouds, | עָנָ֥ן | ʿānān | ah-NAHN |
| and thick darkness. | וַֽעֲרָפֶֽל׃ | waʿărāpel | VA-uh-ra-FEL |
