ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਟੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਮੀਰ ਪਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਸੀ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਲਈ ਰੋਟੀ ਪਕਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਰੁਕੇ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਖਮੀਰ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਰੋਟੀਆਂ ਸੇਕੀਆਂ।
