Exodus 21 - YLT (Punjabi)

1 `And these `are' the judgments which thou dost set before them:ਹੋਰ ਨੇਮ ਤੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਹ ਹੋਰ ਨੇਮ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਵੇਂਗਾ:

2 `When thou buyest a Hebrew servant -- six years he doth serve, and in the seventh he goeth out as a freeman for nought;“ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਖਰੀਦੋ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 6 ਸਾਲ ਤੱਕ ਕਰੇਗਾ। 6 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਬਾਦ ਉਹ ਅਜ਼ਾਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਅਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ।

3 if by himself he cometh in, by himself he goeth out; if he `is' owner of a wife, then his wife hath gone out with him;ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਬਣਨ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿਆਹਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ, ਤਾਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਅਜ਼ਾਦ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਪਰ ਜੇ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਬਣਨ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿਆਹਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਜ਼ਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਖ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ।

4 if his lord give to him a wife, and she hath borne to him sons or daughters -- the wife and her children are her lord's, and he goeth out by himself.ਜੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਵਿਆਹਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਨੀ ਦੇ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਉਹ ਪਤਨੀ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਜਦੋਂ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਆਪਣੀ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਦੇ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਕਰ ਲਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

5 `And if the servant really say: I have loved my lord, my wife, and my sons -- I do not go out free;“ਪਰ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਇਹ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰੇ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੋਲ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ‘ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਤੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ-ਮੈਂ ਰੁਕਾਂਗਾ।’

6 then hath his lord brought him nigh unto God, and hath brought him nigh unto the door, or unto the side-post, and his lord hath bored his ear with an awl, and he hath served him -- to the age.ਜੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਵਾਪਰੇ, ਤਾਂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਆਂਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਲਿਆਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦਰਵਾਜੇ ਜਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਚੁਗਾਠ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਲਿਆਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਿੱਖੇ ਔਜ਼ਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸੁਰਾਖ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਲਈ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ।

7 `And when a man selleth his daughter for a handmaid, she doth not go out according to the going out of the men-servants;“ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਆਦਮੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਵਜੋਂ ਵੇਚਣ ਦਾ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਾ ਕਰ ਲਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਜ਼ਾਦ ਕਰਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਓਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਮਰਦ ਗੁਲਾਮਾਂ ਲਈ ਹਨ।

8 if evil in the eyes of her lord, so that he hath not betrothed her, then he hath let her be ransomed; to a strange people he hath not power to sell her, in his dealing treacherously with her.ਜੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਨਾ ਕਰੇ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਕੋਲ ਵੇਚ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਚਣ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੱਕ ਨਹੀਂ।

9 `And if to his son he betroth her, according to the right of daughters he doth to her.ਜੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੇ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰ ਲੈਣ ਦਾ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਵਾਂਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਧੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਸਮਝਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

10 `If another `woman' he take for him, her food, her covering, and her habitation, he doth not withdraw;“ਜੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੂਸਰੀ ਔਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਾਦੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਘੱਟ ਭੋਜਨ ਜਾਂ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਨਾ ਦੇਵੇ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖੇ ਜਿਸਦੀ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਾਦੀ ਕਾਰਣ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਨ ਹੈ।

11 and if these three he do not to her, then she hath gone out for nought, without money.ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਤਿੰਨ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਜੇ ਉਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਔਰਤ ਅਜ਼ਾਦ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਮੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਰਨਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਦੀ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਦੇਣਦਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।

12 `He who smiteth a man so that he hath died, is certainly put to death;“ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਇੰਨੀ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਸੱਟ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮਰ ਜਾਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

13 as to him who hath not laid wait, and God hath brought to his hand, I have even set for thee a place whither he doth flee.ਪਰ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਦੁਰਘਟਨਾ ਵਾਪਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਬਿਨਾ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਰਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਖਾਸ ਥਾਂ ਚੁਣਾਂਗਾ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਭੱਜ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ।

14 `And when a man doth presume against his neighbour to slay him with subtilty, from Mine altar thou dost take him to die.ਪਰ ਜੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਵਿਉਂਤ ਬਣਾਈ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਫਰਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਕਾਤਲ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਮਿਲਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਲੈ ਜਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿਓ।

15 `And he who smiteth his father or his mother is certainly put to death.“ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਜਾਂ ਮਾਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਕੁੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

16 `And he who stealeth a man, and hath sold him, and he hath been found in his hand, is certainly put to death.“ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਚੋਰੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਵਜੋਂ ਵੇਚ ਸੱਕੇ ਜਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਦ ਲਈ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਰੱਖ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

17 `And he who is reviling his father or his mother is certainly put to death.“ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਜਾਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਾਪ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

18 `And when men contend, and a man hath smitten his neighbour with a stone, or with the fist, and he die not, but hath fallen on the bed;“ਜੇ ਦੋ ਬੰਦੇ ਲੜ ਪੈਣ ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਜਣਾ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਥਰ ਜਾਂ ਮੁੱਕਾ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਵੇ। (ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿਉਂਗੇ? ਜੇ ਉਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਜਿਸਦੇ ਸੱਟ ਵੱਜੀ ਸੀ, ਮਰਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੁੱਟਿਆ ਮਰਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।)

19 if he rise, and hath gone up and down without on his staff, then hath the smiter been acquitted; only his cessation he giveth, and he is thoroughly healed.ਜੇ ਬੰਦਾ ਫ਼ੱਟੜ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨ ਮੰਜੇ ਤੇ ਪੈਣਾ ਪਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੱਟੜ ਕੀਤਾ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਸਰਾ ਦੇਵੇ। ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੱਟੜ ਕੀਤਾ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਕਤ ਦੀ ਬਰਬਾਦੀ ਦਾ ਇਵਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਦੇਵੇ। ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਆਸਰਾ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਠੀਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ।

20 `And when a man smiteth his man-servant or his handmaid, with a rod, and he hath died under his hand -- he is certainly avenged;“ਕਈ ਵਾਰੀ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਲਾਮਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੁੱਟਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜੇ ਕੁੱਟ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਮਰ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਕਾਤਲ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਮਿਲਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।

21 only if he remain a day, or two days, he is not avenged, for he `is' his money.ਪਰ ਜੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਮਰਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਬਾਦ ਠੀਕ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਖਰੀਦਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਉਸੇ ਦਾ ਹੈ।

22 `And when men strive, and have smitten a pregnant woman, and her children have come out, and there is no mischief, he is certainly fined, as the husband of the woman doth lay upon him, and he hath given through the judges;“ਜੇ ਦੋ ਬੰਦੇ ਲੜ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਕਰ ਦੇਣ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਔਰਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦੇਵੇ। ਜੇ ਔਰਤ ਬੁਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਨਾ ਹੋਈ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ੁਰਮਾਨਾ ਭਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਔਰਤ ਦਾ ਪਤੀ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਇਵਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਦੇਵੇ। ਨਿਆਂਕਾਰ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਦੇਣਗੇ ਕਿ ਜ਼ੁਰਮਾਨਾ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

23 and if there is mischief, then thou hast given life for life,ਪਰ ਜੇ ਔਰਤ ਬੁਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ, ਜਿਸਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਮਿਲਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਮਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਜਾਨ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਦੂਸਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਅਦਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।

24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅੱਖ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਅੱਖ, ਦੰਦ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਦੰਦ, ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਹੱਥ, ਪੈਰ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਪੈਰ,

25 burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.ਸੇਕ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਸੇਕ, ਝਰੀਟ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਝਰੀਟ, ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਖਮ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਜ਼ਖਮ ਅਦਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

26 `And when a man smiteth the eye of his man-servant, or the eye of his handmaid, and hath destroyed it, as a freeman he doth send him away for his eye;“ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਦੀ ਅੱਖ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੱਟ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਦੀ ਉਹ ਅੱਖ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਅਜ਼ਾਦ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸਦੀ ਅੱਖ ਉਸਦੀ ਅਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਦਾ ਇਵਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਸੀਆਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਮਾਨ ਹੈ।

27 and if a tooth of his man-servant or a tooth of his handmaid he knock out, as a freeman he doth send him away for his tooth.ਜੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਤੇ ਸੱਟ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਦਾ ਦੰਦ ਟੁੱਟ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਲਾਮ ਦਾ ਦੰਦ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਦੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਦਾ ਇਵਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਸੀਆਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਮਾਨ ਹੈ।

28 `And when an ox doth gore man or woman, and they have died, the ox is certainly stoned, and his flesh is not eaten, and the owner of the ox `is' acquitted;“ਜੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਬਲਦ ਕਸੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਜਾਂ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਬਲਦ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰ ਦਿਓ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਬਲਦ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਧਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਪਰ ਬਲਦ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।

29 and if the ox is `one' accustomed to gore heretofore, and it hath been testified to its owner, and he doth not watch it, and it hath put to death a man or woman, the ox is stoned, and its owner also is put to death.ਪਰ ਜੇ ਬਲਦ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਚਿਤਾਵਨੀ ਮਿਲੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਲਦ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਜਾਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਿਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੇ ਬਲਦ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਲਦ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰ ਦਿਓ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮਾਰ ਦਿਓ।

30 `If atonement is laid upon him, then he hath given the ransom of his life, according to all that is laid upon him;ਪਰ ਮਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਪੈਸਾ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇ ਉਹ ਪੈਸਾ ਲੈ ਲੈਣ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਬਲਦ ਸੀ, ਨਹੀਂ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਓਨਾ ਪੈਸਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਨਿਆਂਕਾਰ ਆਖੇ।

31 whether it gore a son or gore a daughter, according to this judgment it is done to him.“ਉਸੇ ਨੇਮ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਉਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਬਲਦ ਕਿਸੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਾਂ ਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਵੇ।

32 `If the ox gore a man-servant or a handmaid, thirty silver shekels he doth give to their lord, and the ox is stoned.ਪਰ ਜੇ ਬਲਦ ਕਿਸੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਬਲਦ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ (ਗੁਲਾਮ ਦੇ) ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ 30 ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਕੇ ਦੇਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ। ਅਤੇ ਬਲਦ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਨੇਮ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਸੀਆਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।

33 `And when a man doth open a pit, or when a man doth dig a pit, and doth not cover it, and an ox or ass hath fallen thither, --“ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਖੂਹ ਤੋਂ ਢੱਕਣ ਲਾਹ ਦੇਵੇ ਜਾਂ ਉਹ ਕੋਈ ਟੋਆ ਪੁੱਟੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਢੱਕੇ ਨਾ। ਜੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਟੋਏ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਿੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਟੋਏ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ।

34 the owner of the pit doth repay, money he doth give back to its owner, and the dead is his.ਜਿਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਟੋਆ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਅਦਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਦੇ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਰੱਖ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ।

35 `And when a man's ox doth smite the ox of his neighbour, and it hath died, then they have sold the living ox, and halved its money, and also the dead one they do halve;“ਜੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਦਾ ਬਲਦ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਆਦਮੀ ਦੇ ਬਲਦ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਬਲਦ ਵੇਚ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਦੋਹਾਂ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਲਦ ਵੇਚਕੇ ਮਿਲੇ ਪੈਸੇ ਦਾ ਅੱਧਾ-ਅੱਧਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਮਿਲਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਆਦਮੀ ਮਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਬਲਦ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਵੀ ਅੱਧਾ-ਅੱਧਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਣਗੇ।

36 or, it hath been known that the ox is `one' accustomed to gore heretofore, and its owner doth not watch it, he certainly repayeth ox for ox, and the dead is his.ਪਰ ਜੇ ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਦੇ ਬਲਦ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਹੋਰ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਮਾਲਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਲਦ ਲਾਈ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਬਲਦ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਬਲਦ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਲਦ ਖੁਲ੍ਹਾ ਛੱਡਿਆ। ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਲਦ ਬਦਲੇ ਬਲਦ ਦੇਣਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਲਦ ਮਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਬਲਦ ਬਦਲੇ ਦੇਣਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ।
