Genesis 1:20
ਪੰਜਵਾਂ ਦਿਨ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰੀ ਜੀਵ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਛੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪਾਣੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਵਾਯੂਮੰਡਲ ਦੇ ਆਰ-ਪਾਰ ਪੰਛੀ ਉੱਡਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ।”

| that hath | נֶ֣פֶשׁ | nepeš | NEH-fesh |
| life, | חַיָּ֑ה | ḥayyâ | ha-YA |
| and fowl | וְעוֹף֙ | wĕʿôp | veh-OFE |
| that may fly | יְעוֹפֵ֣ף | yĕʿôpēp | yeh-oh-FAFE |
| above | עַל | ʿal | al |
| earth the | הָאָ֔רֶץ | hāʾāreṣ | ha-AH-rets |
| in | עַל | ʿal | al |
| the open | פְּנֵ֖י | pĕnê | peh-NAY |
| firmament | רְקִ֥יעַ | rĕqîaʿ | reh-KEE-ah |
