Genesis 16:2
ਸਾਰਈ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬੱਚੇ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੇਰੀ ਦਾਸੀ ਹਾਜਰਾ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਭੋਗ ਕਰ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨ ਕਰਾਂਗੀ।” ਅਬਰਾਮ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਦੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਹਿਮਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।

Ruth 4:11

Exodus 21:4
ਜੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਵਿਆਹਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਨੀ ਦੇ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਉਹ ਪਤਨੀ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਜਦੋਂ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਆਪਣੀ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਦੇ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਕਰ ਲਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
Genesis 30:22
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਰਾਖੇਲ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸੁਣ ਲਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਰਾਖੇਲ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਤਾਨ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਲੇਆਹ ਨੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਬੱਚੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨੋ ਹਟ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਦਾਸੀ ਜ਼ਿਲਫ਼ਾਹ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

ਰਾਖੇਲ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸੁਣ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।” ਇਸ ਲਈ ਰਾਖੇਲ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਦਾਨ ਰੱਖਿਆ।
Genesis 30:2
ਯਾਕੂਬ ਰਾਖੇਲ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਰਾਜ਼ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ। ਇਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ।”
Genesis 25:21
ਇਸਹਾਕ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਬਾਂਝ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸੁਣ ਲਈ। ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਨਾਲ ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ।
Genesis 18:10
ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਬਹਾਰ ਦੇ ਮੌਸਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਆਵਾਂਗਾ। ਓਸ ਸਮੇਂ, ਤੇਰੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਸਾਰਾਹ ਇੱਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ।” ਸਾਰਾਹ ਤੰਬੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਲੋਤੀ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ।
Genesis 17:16
ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਹੋਵੇਂਗਾ। ਉਹ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਣਗੇ।”

ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ, ਕਿ ਓਸ ਰੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਫ਼ਲ ਨਾ ਖਾਵੀਂ। ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣਕੇ ਓਸ ਰੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਫ਼ਲ ਖਾ ਲਿਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੇਰੀ ਖਾਤਰ ਮੈਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਾਪ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਤੈਂਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਭੋਜਨ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਜੀਵਨ ਭਰ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰਨੀ ਪਵੇਗੀ।
Genesis 3:12
ਆਦਮੀ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜਿਹੜੀ ਔਰਤ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਸਾਜੀ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਰੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਫ਼ਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਖਾ ਲਿਆ।”
