Genesis 23:8
ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਦਫ਼ਨਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਸੋਹਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਫ਼ਰੋਨ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰੋ।

| them, saying, | לֵאמֹ֑ר | lēʾmōr | lay-MORE |
| If | אִם | ʾim | eem |
| it be | יֵ֣שׁ | yēš | yaysh |
| אֶֽת | ʾet | et | |
| your mind | נַפְשְׁכֶ֗ם | napšĕkem | nahf-sheh-HEM |
| that I should bury | לִקְבֹּ֤ר | liqbōr | leek-BORE |
| אֶת | ʾet | et | |
| dead my | מֵתִי֙ | mētiy | may-TEE |
| out of my sight; | מִלְּפָנַ֔י | millĕpānay | mee-leh-fa-NAI |
| hear | שְׁמָע֕וּנִי | šĕmāʿûnî | sheh-ma-OO-nee |
| intreat and me, | וּפִגְעוּ | ûpigʿû | oo-feeɡ-OO |
| for me to Ephron | לִ֖י | lî | lee |
| the son | בְּעֶפְר֥וֹן | bĕʿeprôn | beh-ef-RONE |
| of Zohar, | בֶּן | ben | ben |
| צֹֽחַר׃ | ṣōḥar | TSOH-hahr |
