ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ “ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ, ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ! ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ! ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਨਮ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਤੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਲਾ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ।

of my father אָבִ֣י ʾāb av
Abraham, אַבְרָהָ֔ם ʾabrāhām av-ra-HAHM
and God וֵֽאלֹהֵ֖י ʾĕlōhîm ay-loh-HEEM
of my father אָבִ֣י ʾāb av
Isaac, יִצְחָ֑ק yiṣḥāq yeets-HAHK
the Lord יְהוָ֞ה yĕhōwâ yeh-hoh-VA
which saidst הָֽאֹמֵ֣ר ʾāmar ah-MAHR
unto אֵלַ֗י ʾēl ale
me, Return שׁ֧וּב šûb shoov
unto thy country, לְאַרְצְךָ֛ ʾereṣ eh-RETS
and to thy kindred, וּלְמֽוֹלַדְתְּךָ֖ môledet moh-leh-DET
and I will deal well וְאֵיטִ֥יבָה yāṭab ya-TAHV
with thee: עִמָּֽךְ׃ ʿim eem
