ਇਸ ਲਈ ਏਸਾਓ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੁਝ ਬੰਦੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਲਈ ਛੱਡ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।” ਪਰ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਇਸਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ।”

leave אַצִּֽיגָה yāṣag ya-TSAHɡ
Let me now נָּ֣א nāʾ na
with עִמְּךָ֔ ʿim eem
thee of מִן min meen
the folk הָעָ֖ם ʿam am
that אֲשֶׁ֣ר ʾăšer uh-SHER
with אִתִּ֑י ʾēt ate
me. And he said, וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ ʾāmar ah-MAHR
What לָ֣מָּה mâ ma
needeth it? זֶּ֔ה ze zeh
let me find אֶמְצָא māṣāʾ ma-TSA
grace חֵ֖ן ḥēn hane
in the sight בְּעֵינֵ֥י ʿayin ah-YEEN
of my lord. אֲדֹנִֽי׃ ʾādôn ah-DONE
