Genesis 47:24
ਵਾਢੀਆਂ ਵੇਲੇ, ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਫ਼ਸਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਪੰਜਵਾਂ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਣਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ। ਪੰਜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਚਾਰ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਰੱਖ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬੀਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਨਾਜ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਅਗਲੇ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਦੀ ਬਿਜਾਈ ਲਈ ਰੱਖ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋ। ਹੁਣ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਰਵਰਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋ।”

| part unto Pharaoh, | לְפַרְעֹ֑ה | lĕparʿō | leh-fahr-OH |
| four and | וְאַרְבַּ֣ע | wĕʾarbaʿ | veh-ar-BA |
| parts | הַיָּדֹ֡ת | hayyādōt | ha-ya-DOTE |
| shall be | יִֽהְיֶ֣ה | yihĕye | yee-heh-YEH |
| seed for own, your | לָכֶם֩ | lākem | la-HEM |
| of the field, | לְזֶ֨רַע | lĕzeraʿ | leh-ZEH-ra |
| food, your for and | הַשָּׂדֶ֧ה | haśśāde | ha-sa-DEH |
| them for and | וּֽלְאָכְלְכֶ֛ם | ûlĕʾoklĕkem | oo-leh-oke-leh-HEM |
| of your households, | וְלַֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר | wĕlaʾăšer | veh-la-uh-SHER |
| food for and | בְּבָֽתֵּיכֶ֖ם | bĕbāttêkem | beh-va-tay-HEM |
| for your little ones. | וְלֶֽאֱכֹ֥ל | wĕleʾĕkōl | veh-leh-ay-HOLE |
| לְטַפְּכֶֽם׃ | lĕṭappĕkem | leh-ta-peh-HEM |
