Isaiah 13:11
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਮੈਂ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਫਤਾਂ ਭੇਜਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਬੁਰੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਗੁਮਾਨੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਗੁਮਾਨ ਖੋਹ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਫ਼ਢ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕਮੀਨਗੀ ਭਰਿਆ ਸਲੂਕ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।

| arrogancy the cause will I and | וְהִשְׁבַּתִּי֙ | wĕhišbattiy | veh-heesh-ba-TEE |
| proud the of | גְּא֣וֹן | gĕʾôn | ɡeh-ONE |
| to cease, | זֵדִ֔ים | zēdîm | zay-DEEM |
| low lay will and | וְגַאֲוַ֥ת | wĕgaʾăwat | veh-ɡa-uh-VAHT |
| the haughtiness | עָרִיצִ֖ים | ʿārîṣîm | ah-ree-TSEEM |
