ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਲ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ। ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਦਲਦਲ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਮੈਂ ‘ਬਰਬਾਦੀ ਦੇ ਝਾੜੂ’ ਨੂੰ ਵਰਤਾਂਗਾ ਤੇ ਬਾਬਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਝਾੜੂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।” ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖੀਆਂ।

for the bittern, קִפֹּ֖ד qippôd kee-PODE
and pools וְאַגְמֵי ʾăgam uh-ɡAHM
of water: מָ֑יִם mayim ma-YEEM
and I will sweep וְטֵֽאטֵאתִ֙יהָ֙ ṭûʾ too
it with the besom בְּמַטְאֲטֵ֣א maṭʾăṭēʾ maht-uh-TAY
of destruction, הַשְׁמֵ֔ד šāmad sha-MAHD
saith נְאֻ֖ם nĕʾum neh-OOM
the Lord יְהוָ֥ה yĕhōwâ yeh-hoh-VA
of hosts. צְבָאֽוֹת׃ ṣābāʾ tsa-VA
