Isaiah 36 - YLT (Punjabi)

1 And it cometh to pass, in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah, come up hath Sennacherib king of Asshur against all the fenced cities of Judah, and seizeth them.ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਰਾਜੇ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਚੌਦ੍ਹਵੇਂ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਨਹੇਰੀਬ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜਨ ਲਈ ਗਿਆ। ਸਨਹੇਰੀਬ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

2 And the king of Asshur sendeth Rabshakeh from Lachish to Jerusalem, unto the king Hezekiah, with a heavy force, and he standeth by the conduit of the upper pool, in the highway of the fuller's field,ਸਨਹੇਰੀਬ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਵੱਲ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਮਾਂਡਰ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ। ਕਮਾਂਡਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਲਾਕੀਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਰਵਾਨਾ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਉਹ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਾਲੀ ਇੱਕ ਖਾਈ ਨੇੜੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਤਲਾਅ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੁਕ ਗਏ। ਉੱਪਰਲਾ ਤਲਾਅ ਧੋਬੀਘਾਟ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੜਕ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੈ।

3 and go forth unto him doth Eliakim son of Hilkiah, who `is' over the house, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah son of Asaph, the remembrancer.ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਬੰਦੇ ਕਮਾਂਡਰ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਬਾਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਗਏ। ਇਹ ਬੰਦੇ ਸਨ ਹਿਲਕੀਆਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਲਯਾਕੀਮ, ਆਸਾਫ਼ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਆਹ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਬਨਾ। ਅਲਯਾਕੀਮ ਮਹਿਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਸੀ ਯੋਆਹ ਲੇਖਕਾਰ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਬਨਾ ਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਸੱਕੱਤਰ ਸੀ।

4 And Rabshakeh saith unto them, `Say ye, I pray you, unto Hezekiah, `Thus said the great king, the king of Asshur, What `is' this confidence in which thou hast confided?ਕਮਾਂਡਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੋ ਕਿ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦਾ ਮਹਾਨ ਰਾਜਾ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “‘ਆਪਣੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਕਿਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ।

5 I have said: Only, a word of the lips! counsel and might `are' for battle: now, on whom hast thou trusted, that thou hast rebelled against me?ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਲੜਾਈ ਲਈ ਚੁਸਤ ਯੋਜਨਾਬੰਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਬੇਕਾਰ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਹੋਰ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਕੋਰੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹਨ। ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਕਿਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਇੰਨਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਬਗ਼ਾਵਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈਂ?

6 `Lo, thou hast trusted on the staff of this broken reed -- on Egypt -- which a man leaneth on, and it hath gone into his hand, and pierced it -- so `is' Pharaoh king of Egypt to all those trusting on him.ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਲਈ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ? ਮਿਸਰ ਤਾਂ ਟੁੱਟੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੋਟੀ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਇਸਦੇ ਸਹਾਰੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੇਕ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ। ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਬੰਦੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਲਈ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।

7 `And dost thou say unto me, Unto Jehovah our God we have trusted? is it not He, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath turned aside, and saith to Judah and to Jerusalem, Before this altar ye do bow yourselves?“‘ਪਰ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਖੋ, “ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਲਈ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ।” ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਹਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਚੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਲੋਕ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, “ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਸੇ ਹੀ ਇੱਕ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।”

8 `And now, negotiate, I pray thee, with my lord the king of Asshur, and I give to thee two thousand horses, if thou art able to put for thee riders on them.“‘ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਲੜਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ, ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਲਿਕ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ 2,000 ਘੋੜੇ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਵਾਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਲੜਾਈ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਇੰਨੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਲੱਭ ਸੱਕੋ।

9 And how dost thou turn back the face of one captain of the least of the servants of my lord, and dost trust for thee on Egypt, for chariot and for horsemen?ਪਰ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਵੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਛੋਟੇ ਦਰਜੇ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਇੱਕ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਰਾ ਸੱਕੋਗੇ! ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਰੱਥਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਘੋੜਸਵਾਰ ਫ਼ੌਜੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਇੰਨਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ!

10 And now, without Jehovah have I come up against this land to destroy it? Jehovah said unto me, Go up unto this land, and thou hast destroyed it.'“‘ਹੁਣ, ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਸੋਚਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਆਇਆ ਸਾਂ! ਨਹੀਂ! ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, “ਇਸ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿਓ।”’”

11 And Eliakim saith -- and Shebna and Joah -- unto Rabshakeh, `Speak, we pray thee, unto thy servants `in' Aramaean, for we are understanding; and do not speak unto us `in' Jewish, in the ears of the people who `are' on the wall.'ਫ਼ੇਰ ਅਲਯਾਕੀਮ, ਸ਼ਬਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਆਹ ਨੇ ਕਮਾਂਡਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਅਰਾਮੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੱਲ ਕਰੋ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੱਲ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੀਵਾਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਖਲੋਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਗੱਲ ਸਮਝ ਜਾਣਗੇ।”

12 And Rabshakeh saith, `Unto thy lord, and unto thee, hath my lord sent me to speak these words? is it not for the men -- those sitting on the wall to eat their own dung and to drink their own water with you?'ਪਰ ਕਮਾਂਡਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਿਕ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਮਾਲਿਕ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੇਜਿਆ। ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਿਕ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਦੀਵਾਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੈਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ! ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਕੋਲ ਖਾਣ ਪੀਣ ਲਈ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਗੂਂਹ ਮੂਤ ਖਾਣ ਪੀਣਗੇ।”

13 And Rabshakeh standeth and calleth with a great voice `in' Jewish, and saith, `Hear ye the words of the great king, the king of Asshur:ਫ਼ੇਰ ਕਮਾਂਡਰ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਚੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਰੌਲਾ ਪਾਇਆ, ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ, ਮਹਾਨ ਰਾਜੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਸੁਣੋ:

14 Thus said the king, Let not Hezekiah lift you up, for he is not able to deliver you;ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਮੂਰਖ ਨਾ ਬਣੋ! ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਚਾ ਸੱਕਦਾ!

15 and let not Hezekiah make you trust unto Jehovah, saying, Jehovah doth certainly deliver us, this city is not given into the hand of the king of Asshur.ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਇਹ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕਰੋ! ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਵੇਗਾ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਰਾਵੇਗਾ।”

16 `Do not hearken unto Hezekiah, for thus said the king of Asshur, Make ye with me a blessing, and come out unto me, and eat ye each of his vine, and each of his fig-tree, and drink ye each the waters of his own well,ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾ ਦਿਓ। ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣੋ। ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਹਰ ਬੰਦਾ ਘਰ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਹਰ ਬੰਦਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਵੇਲ ਦੇ ਅੰਗੂਰ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਸੁਤੰਤਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਬੰਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਜੀਰ ਦੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਤੋਂ ਅੰਜੀਰ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਸੁਤੰਤਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਹਰ ਬੰਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੂਹ ਦਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਣ ਲਈ ਸੁਤੰਤਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।

17 till my coming in, and I have taken you unto a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards;ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਓਦੋਁ ਤੱਕ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਵਰਗੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ। ਉਸ ਨਵੇਂ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਚੰਗਾ ਅਨਾਜ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਨਵੀਂ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਰੋਟੀ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਗੂਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਾਗ਼ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।”

18 lest Hezekiah doth persuade you, saying, Jehovah doth deliver us. `Have the gods of the nations delivered each his land out of the hand of the king of Asshur?ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਖੜੀ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਿਓ। ਉਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਡੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰੇਗਾ।” ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਕੌਮ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਸੀ? ਨਹੀਂ!

19 Where `are' the gods of Hamath and Arpad? Where the gods of Sepharvaim, that they have delivered Samaria out of my hand?ਹਮਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਪਾਦ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਕਿੱਥੋ ਨੇ? ਉਹ ਹਾਰ ਗਏ ਨੇ! ਸਫ਼ਰਵਾਇਮ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਕਿੱਥੋ ਨੇ? ਉਹ ਹਾਰ ਗਏ ਨੇ! ਕੀ ਉਹ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਸੱਕੇ? ਨਹੀਂ!

20 Who among all the gods of these lands `are' they who have delivered their land out of my hand, that Jehovah doth deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?'ਕੀ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਇਆ? ਨਹੀਂ! ਕੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਨਹੀਂ!

21 And they keep silent, and have not answered him a word, for a command of the king is, saying, `Do not answer him.'ਪਰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਮਾਂਡਰ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, “ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਨਾ ਆਖਣਾ।”
