Isaiah 37:19
ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਅਸਲੀ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਲੱਕੜੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੇ ਬੁੱਤ ਹੀ ਸਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਸਨ। ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਿਆ!

for כִּי֩ kî kee
no לֹ֨א lōʾ loh
gods, אֱלֹהִ֜ים ʾĕlōhîm ay-loh-HEEM
they הֵ֗מָּה hēm hame
but כִּ֣י kî kee
אִם ʾim eem
the work מַעֲשֵׂ֧ה maʿăśe ma-uh-SEH
hands, יְדֵֽי yād yahd
of men's אָדָ֛ם ʾādām ah-DAHM
wood עֵ֥ץ ʿēṣ ayts
and stone: וָאֶ֖בֶן ʾeben eh-VEN
therefore they have destroyed them. וַֽיְאַבְּדֽוּם׃ ʾābad ah-VAHD
