ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਅਸਲੀ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਲੱਕੜੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੇ ਬੁੱਤ ਹੀ ਸਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਸਨ। ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਿਆ!
