ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਬਿਰਧ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਤੱਕ ਜੀਆਂਗਾ। ਪਰ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੇਰਾ ਵੇਲਾ ਸੀ ਸ਼ਿਓਲ ਦੇ ਦਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਣ ਦਾ। ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਓੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰਾਂਗਾ।

to the gates בְּשַׁעֲרֵ֣י šaʿar sha-AR
of the grave: שְׁא֑וֹל šĕʾôl sheh-OLE
I am deprived פֻּקַּ֖דְתִּי pāqad pa-KAHD
of the residue יֶ֥תֶר yeter yeh-TER
of my years. שְׁנוֹתָֽי׃ šāne sha-NEH
