ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਬੰਦਾ ਲੱਕੜ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਕੀਰਾਂ ਵਾਹੁਣ ਲਈ ਸੂਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਕਂਮਪਾਸ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸਤੋਂ ਇਹ ਪਤਾ ਚਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿੱਥੋਂ ਕਟਾਈ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਛੈਣੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਲਕੜੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਤਰਾਸ਼ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਮਿਣਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ ਲਕੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਆਦਮੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਲ ਦੇ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਹੋਰ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੀ ਸਗੋਂ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

with a line; בַשֶּׂ֔רֶד śered seh-RED
he fitteth יַעֲשֵׂ֙הוּ֙ ʿāśâ ah-SA
it with planes, בַּמַּקְצֻע֔וֹת maqṣuʿâ mahk-tsoo-AH
with the compass, וּבַמְּחוּגָ֖ה mĕḥûgâ meh-hoo-ɡA
and he marketh it out יְתָאֳרֵ֑הוּ tāʾar ta-AR
and maketh וַֽיַּעֲשֵׂ֙הוּ֙ ʿāśâ ah-SA
it after the figure כְּתַבְנִ֣ית tabnît tahv-NEET
of a man, אִ֔ישׁ ʾîš eesh
according to the beauty כְּתִפְאֶ֥רֶת tipʾārâ teef-ah-RA
of a man; אָדָ֖ם ʾādām ah-DAHM
that it may remain לָשֶׁ֥בֶת yāšab ya-SHAHV
in the house. בָּֽיִת׃ bayit ba-YEET
