“ਮੇਰੀ ਮਹਿਬੂਬਾ (ਯਹੂਦਾਹ) ਮੇਰੇ ਘਰ (ਮੰਦਰ) ਅੰਦਰ ਕਿਉਂ ਹੈ? ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਥੇ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਨੇ। ਯਹੂਦਾਹ, ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਸੋਚਦੀ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਖਾਸ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਪਸ਼ੂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕ ਲੈਣਗੀਆਂ? ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਸੋਚਦੀ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਕੇ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਸੱਕਦੀ ਹੈਂ?”
