Job 28
1 ਸਿਆਣਪ ਕੀ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ “ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਖਾਨਾਂ ਹਨ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਲੋਕ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਹਨ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਲੋਕ ਸੋਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪਿਘਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
2 ਲੋਕੀਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੋਹਾ ਕੱਢਦੇ ਨੇ। ਪੱਥਰ ਤੋਂ ਤਾਂਬਾ ਪਿਘਲਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
3 ਕਾਮੇ ਰੋਸ਼ਨੀਆਂ ਗੁਫ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਨੇ। ਉਹ ਡੂੰਘੀਆਂ ਗੁਫਾਵਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਖੋਜਦੇ ਨੇ। ਡੂੰਘੇ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਹ ਚੱਟਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੋਜਦੇ ਨੇ।
4 ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ ਕੱਚੀ ਧਾਤ ਦੀਆਂ ਨੜਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਚੱਲ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਡੂੰਘਾਈ ਤੀਕ ਖੁਦਾਈ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੂੰਘੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਨੇ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੂਰ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਲੋਕ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਨੇ, ਹੇਠਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਿਆ ਉਹ ਰੱਸਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਹੋਰਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੂਰ ਲਟਕਦੇ ਨੇ।
5 ਭੋਜਨ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਉਤਾਂਹ ਵੱਲ ਉੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਵੱਖਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅੱਗ ਨਾਲ ਹਰ ਸ਼ੈਅ ਪਿਘਲੀ ਹੋਵੇ।
6 ਨੀਲਮ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਲੱਭਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਕਣ ਵੀ ਧੂੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ।
7 ਜੰਗਲੀ ਪੰਛੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਹੇਠਲੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਤਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ। ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਬਾਜ਼ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਖਿਆ।
8 ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਕਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਤੁਰੇ, ਕਦੇ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਘੁੰਮੇ।
9 ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਸਖਤ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਖੋਦਦੇ ਨੇ। ਉਹ ਪਰਬਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਲੇ ਖੁਦਾਈ ਕਰਦੇ ਨੇ।
10 ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ ਚੱਟਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਰਂਗਾਂ ਖੋਦਦੇ ਨੇ। ਉਹ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਖਜ਼ਾਨਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੱਕਦੇ ਨੇ।
11 ਕਾਮੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਉਸਾਰਦੇ ਨੇ। ਉਹ ਛੁਪੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਸ਼ਨੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਉਂਦੇ ਨੇ।
12 “ਪਰ ਬੰਦਾ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਕਿੱਥੋ ਲੱਭ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਅਸੀਂ ਕਿੱਥੋ ਜਾਕੇ ਸਮਝ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ।
13 ਆਦਮੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਕਿੱਥੋ ਹੈ? ਇਹ ਓੱਥੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭਦੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਲੋਕ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
14 ਗਹਿਰਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ‘ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਇੱਥੇ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।’ ਸਾਗਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ‘ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਇੱਥੇ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।’
15 ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਰੀਦ ਸੱਕਦੇ। ਸਿਆਣਪ ਖਰੀਦਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
16 ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਨੂੰ ਉਫੀਰ ਦੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਂ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨੀ ਜਾਂ ਨੀਲਮ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਰੀਦ ਸੱਕਦੇ ।
17 ਸਿਆਣਪ ਸੋਨੇ ਜਾਂ ਬਿਲੌਰ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਮੁੱਲਵਾਨ ਹੈ। ਸੋਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੜੇ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਹੀਰੇ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਰੀਦ ਸੱਕਦੇ।
18 ਸਿਆਣਪ ਮੂਂਗੇ ਜਾਂ ਜੈਸਪਰ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਹੈ। ਸਿਆਣਪ ਮਨਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਹੈ।
19 ਇਬੋਪੀਆ ਦੇਸ ਦਾ ਪੁਖਰਾਜ ਵੀ ਇੰਨਾ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿੰਨੀ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਸੋਨੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਰੀਦ ਸੱਕਦੇ।
20 “ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਕਿਬੋਁ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ? ਅਸੀਂ ਸਮਝ ਨੂੰ ਕਿੱਥੋ ਲੱਭ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ?
21 ਸਿਆਣਪ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਹਰ ਜਿਉਂਦੀ ਸ਼ੈਅ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਛੁਪੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪੰਛੀ ਵੀ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਖ ਸੱਕਦੇ।
22 ਮੌਤ ਅਤੇ ਤਬਾਹੀ ਆਖਦੀ ਹੈ। ‘ਅਸੀਂ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭੀ, ਅਜੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਅਫ਼ਵਾਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਸੁਣੀਆਂ ਨੇ।’
23 “ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਕਿੱਥੋ ਹੈ।
24 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਹੇਠਲੀ ਹਰ ਸ਼ੈਅ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ।
25 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਹਵਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਕਿੰਨੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਜਾਣ।
26 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਬਾਰਿਸ਼ ਕਿੱਥੋ ਭੇਜੀ ਜਾਵੇ, ਤੇ ਕੜਕਦੇ ਤੂਫ਼ਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿੱਥੋ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
27 ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਦੇਖੀ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੋਚਿਆ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਕਿੰਨੀ ਮੁੱਲਵਾਨ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਨੂੰ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ।”
28 ਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਡਰੋ ਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਆਦਰ ਕਰੋ ਇਹੀ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਹੈ। ਬੁਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਇਹੀ ਸਮਝ ਹੈ।”
1 Surely there is a vein for the silver, and a place for gold where they fine it.
2 Iron is taken out of the earth, and brass is molten out of the stone.
3 He setteth an end to darkness, and searcheth out all perfection: the stones of darkness, and the shadow of death.
4 The flood breaketh out from the inhabitant; even the waters forgotten of the foot: they are dried up, they are gone away from men.
5 As for the earth, out of it cometh bread: and under it is turned up as it were fire.
6 The stones of it are the place of sapphires: and it hath dust of gold.
7 There is a path which no fowl knoweth, and which the vulture’s eye hath not seen:
8 The lion’s whelps have not trodden it, nor the fierce lion passed by it.
9 He putteth forth his hand upon the rock; he overturneth the mountains by the roots.
10 He cutteth out rivers among the rocks; and his eye seeth every precious thing.
11 He bindeth the floods from overflowing; and the thing that is hid bringeth he forth to light.
12 But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding?
13 Man knoweth not the price thereof; neither is it found in the land of the living.
14 The depth saith, It is not in me: and the sea saith, It is not with me.
15 It cannot be gotten for gold, neither shall silver be weighed for the price thereof.
16 It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire.
17 The gold and the crystal cannot equal it: and the exchange of it shall not be for jewels of fine gold.
18 No mention shall be made of coral, or of pearls: for the price of wisdom is above rubies.
19 The topaz of Ethiopia shall not equal it, neither shall it be valued with pure gold.
20 Whence then cometh wisdom? and where is the place of understanding?
21 Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the fowls of the air.
22 Destruction and death say, We have heard the fame thereof with our ears.
23 God understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the place thereof.
24 For he looketh to the ends of the earth, and seeth under the whole heaven;
25 To make the weight for the winds; and he weigheth the waters by measure.
26 When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunder:
27 Then did he see it, and declare it; he prepared it, yea, and searched it out.
28 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.
1 In those days the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples unto him, and saith unto them,
2 I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat:
3 And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for divers of them came from far.
4 And his disciples answered him, From whence can a man satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness?
5 And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven.
6 And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and brake, and gave to his disciples to set before them; and they did set them before the people.
7 And they had a few small fishes: and he blessed, and commanded to set them also before them.
8 So they did eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets.
9 And they that had eaten were about four thousand: and he sent them away.
10 And straightway he entered into a ship with his disciples, and came into the parts of Dalmanutha.
11 And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him.
12 And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation.
13 And he left them, and entering into the ship again departed to the other side.
14 Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the ship with them more than one loaf.
15 And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod.
16 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread.
17 And when Jesus knew it, he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened?
18 Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?
19 When I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve.
20 And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven.
21 And he said unto them, How is it that ye do not understand?
22 And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him.
23 And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.
24 And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.
25 After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.
26 And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town.
27 And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am?
28 And they answered, John the Baptist: but some say, Elias; and others, One of the prophets.
29 And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ.
30 And he charged them that they should tell no man of him.
31 And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
32 And he spake that saying openly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him.
33 But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.
34 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.
36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
