Joshua 14:15
ਅਤੀਤ ਕਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਕਿਰਯਥ ਅਰਬਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਅਨਾਕੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਮਹਾਨ ਆਦਮੀ-ਅਰਬਾ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਆਦਮੀ-ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸਤੋਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ।

ਯਾਕੂਬ ਕਿਰਿਯਥ ਅਰਬਾ (ਹਬਰੋਨ) ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਕੋਲ ਮਮਰੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹੀ ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਰਹਿ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਸਨ।
