Joshua 8:22
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਛੁਪ ਗਏ ਸਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆ ਗਏ। ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਅਈ ਦੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੋਹੀ ਪਾਸੀਂ ਸੀ-ਅਈ ਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਫ਼ਸ ਗਏ। ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਹ ਉਦੋਂ ਤੀਕ ਲੜਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੀਕ ਕਿ ਅਈ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਿਹਾ-ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਿਹਾ-ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਬਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੱਕਿਆ।

| some | אֵ֥לֶּה | ʾēlle | A-leh |
| side, this on | מִזֶּ֖ה | mizze | mee-ZEH |
| and some | וְאֵ֣לֶּה | wĕʾēlle | veh-A-leh |
| side: that on | מִזֶּ֑ה | mizze | mee-ZEH |
| and they smote | וַיַּכּ֣וּ | wayyakkû | va-YA-koo |
