Judges 16:14
ਬਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਸੂਨ ਸੌਂ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਦਲੀਲਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੱਤ ਲਿਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਣਿਆ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਦਲੀਲਾਹ ਨੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਦੇ ਕਿੱਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਾਲ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰੀ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਦਿੱਤੀ, “ਸਮਸੂਨ, ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀ ਬੰਦੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੜਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ!” ਸਮਸੂਨ ਆਪਣੀ ਨੀਂਦ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਾਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿੱਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਖੱਡੀ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਰਕੀ ਸਮੇਤ ਪੁੱਟ ਲਿਆ।

| him, The Philistines | פְּלִשְׁתִּ֥ים | pĕlištîm | peh-leesh-TEEM |
| be upon | עָלֶ֖יךָ | ʿālêkā | ah-LAY-ha |
| thee, Samson. | שִׁמְשׁ֑וֹן | šimšôn | sheem-SHONE |
| awaked he And | וַיִּיקַץ֙ | wayyîqaṣ | va-yee-KAHTS |
| out of his sleep, | מִשְּׁנָת֔וֹ | miššĕnātô | mee-sheh-na-TOH |
| and went away | וַיִּסַּ֛ע | wayyissaʿ | va-yee-SA |
| pin the with | אֶת | ʾet | et |
| of the beam, | הַיְתַ֥ד | haytad | hai-TAHD |
| and with the web. | הָאֶ֖רֶג | hāʾereg | ha-EH-reɡ |
| וְאֶת | wĕʾet | veh-ET | |
| הַמַּסָּֽכֶת׃ | hammassāket | ha-ma-SA-het |
