Judges 9:40
ਅਬੀਮਲਕ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਗਆਲ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਗਆਲ ਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਸ਼ਕਮ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਵੱਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਭੱਜੇ। ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਗਆਲ ਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ, ਇਸਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਤੱਕ ਵਾਪਸ ਜਾ ਸੱਕਣ, ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ।

| overthrown were | חֲלָלִ֥ים | ḥălālîm | huh-la-LEEM |
| and wounded, | רַבִּ֖ים | rabbîm | ra-BEEM |
| even unto | עַד | ʿad | ad |
| entering the | פֶּ֥תַח | petaḥ | PEH-tahk |
| of the gate. | הַשָּֽׁעַר׃ | haššāʿar | ha-SHA-ar |
