Lamentations 1:7
ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਆਪਣਾ ਅਤੀਤ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਗਰੀਬ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਚੀਜਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਤੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਅਤੀਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਫ਼ੜੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਹੱਸੇ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੱਸੇ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਸੀ।
