Lamentations 3:18
ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਹੁਣ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ।”

| My strength | אָבַ֣ד | ʾābad | ah-VAHD |
| hope my and | נִצְחִ֔י | niṣḥî | neets-HEE |
| is perished | וְתוֹחַלְתִּ֖י | wĕtôḥaltî | veh-toh-hahl-TEE |
| from the Lord: | מֵיְהוָֽה׃ | mêhwâ | may-h-VA |
