Leviticus 18:30
ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਕੋਈ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਗੁਨਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਪਾਕ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹਾਂ।”

| any one of these abominable | מֵֽחֻקּ֤וֹת | mēḥuqqôt | may-HOO-kote |
| customs, | הַתּֽוֹעֵבֹת֙ | hattôʿēbōt | ha-toh-ay-VOTE |
| which | אֲשֶׁ֣ר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| were committed | נַֽעֲשׂ֣וּ | naʿăśû | na-uh-SOO |
| before | לִפְנֵיכֶ֔ם | lipnêkem | leef-nay-HEM |
| you, and that ye defile | וְלֹ֥א | wĕlōʾ | veh-LOH |
yourselves not | תִֽטַּמְּא֖וּ | tiṭṭammĕʾû | tee-ta-meh-OO |
