Luke 10 - YLT (Punjabi)

1 And after these things, the Lord did appoint also other seventy, and sent them by twos before his face, to every city and place whither he himself was about to come,ਯਿਸੂ ਵੱਲੋਂ 72 ਮਨੁੱਖ ਭੇਜੇ ਜਾਣੇ ਇਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ 72 ਹੋਰ ਆਦਮੀ ਚੁਣੇ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੋ-ਦੋ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤਾ। ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਗਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੱਗੇ-ਅੱਗੇ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਖੁਦ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ।

2 then said he unto them, `The harvest indeed `is' abundant, but the workmen few; beseech ye then the Lord of the harvest, that He may put forth workmen to His harvest.ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਫ਼ਸਲ ਤਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਵਾਢੇ ਥੋੜੇ ਹਨ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰੋ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਵੱਢਣ ਲਈ ਵਾਢੇ ਭੇਜੇ।

3 `Go away; lo, I send you forth as lambs in the midst of wolves;“ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਓ। ਪਰ ਸਾਵੱਧਾਨ ਰਹੋ! ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਘਿਆੜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੇਲਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਭੇਜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ।

4 carry no bag, no scrip, nor sandals; and salute no one on the way;ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਪੈਸਾ, ਥੈਲਾ, ਜਾਂ ਜੁੱਤੇ ਵਗੈਰਾ ਨਾ ਲੈਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਰਾਹ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲੀ ਲੱਗਣਾ।

5 and into whatever house ye do enter, first say, Peace to this house;ਜਿਸ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਵੋ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਹ ਆਖੋ ਕਿ ‘ਇਸ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਰਹੇ।’

6 and if indeed there may be there the son of peace, rest on it shall your peace; and if not so, upon you it shall turn back.ਜੇਕਰ ਉੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦੀ ਅਸੀਸ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਜੇਕਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦੀ ਅਸੀਸ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਆ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।

7 `And in that house remain, eating and drinking the things they have, for worthy `is' the workman of his hire; go not from house to house,ਉਸ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਜੋ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਜੋ ਖਾਣ-ਪੀਣ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਣ ਉਹੀ ਖਾਣਾ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਕਾਮਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਜੂਰੀ ਦਾ ਹੱਕਦਾਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਘਰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਘਰ ਨਾ ਜਾਣਾ।

8 and into whatever city ye enter, and they may receive you, eat the things set before you,“ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਸੁਆਗਤ ਕਰਨ ਤਾਂ ਉਹੀ ਭੋਜਨ ਖਾਓ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੇਣ।

9 and heal the ailing in it, and say to them, The reign of God hath come nigh to you.ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਦੋ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਕੇ ਰਾਜੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਕੇ ਆਖਣਾ, ‘ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।’

10 `And into whatever city ye do enter, and they may not receive you, having gone forth to its broad places, say,“ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਸੁਆਗਤ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਗਲੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਕਹੋ,

11 And the dust that hath cleaved to us, from your city, we do wipe off against you, but this know ye, that the reign of God hath come nigh to you;‘ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਗਰ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ, ਵੀ ਝਾੜ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਸਾਡੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਗ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਇਹ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਕਿ ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।’

12 and I say to you, that for Sodom in that day it shall be more tolerable than for that city.ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਕਿ ਨਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਸਦੂਮ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਾਲ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।”

13 `Wo to thee, Chorazin; wo to thee, Bethsaida; for if in Tyre and Sidon had been done the mighty works that were done in you, long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes, they had reformed;ਯਿਸੂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਿਹਚਾਹੀਣਾ ਨੂੰ ਚੌਕਸੀ “ਖੁਰਾਜ਼ੀਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਲਾਹਨਤ, ਬੈਤਸੈਦਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਲਾਹਨਤ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਰਿਸ਼ਮੇ ਕੀਤੇ। ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਕਰਿਸ਼ਮੇ ਸੂਰ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਦਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਦੋਂ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਦਲ ਲਏ ਹੁੰਦੇ। ਅਤੇ ਤੱਪੜ ਪਹਿਨ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਸੁਆਹ ਮਲ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਇਹ ਦਰਸ਼ਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਲਈ ਮਾਫ਼ੀ ਮੰਗਦੇ ਹਨ।

14 but for Tyre and Sidon it shall be more tolerable in the judgment than for you.ਪਰ ਨਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਸੂਰ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਦਾ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਹਸ਼ਰ ਵੱਧ ਮਾੜਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।

15 `And thou, Capernaum, which unto the heaven wast exalted, unto hades thou shalt be brought down.ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਕਫ਼ਰਨਾਹੂਮ! ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਸੋਚਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਸੁਰਗਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਉੱਚਾ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ? ਨਹੀਂ! ਤੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਥੱਲੇ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ।

16 `He who is hearing you, doth hear me; and he who is putting you away, doth put me away; and he who is putting me away, doth put away Him who sent me.'“ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੁਹਡੀ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜਾਣੋ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਇਨਕਾਰੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਜੋ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਾਮੰਜ਼ੂਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਮੰਜ਼ੂਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ।”

17 And the seventy turned back with joy, saying, `Sir, and the demons are being subjected to us in thy name;'ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਦਾ ਡਿੱਗਣਾ ਜਦੋਂ 72 ਆਦਮੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਪਸ ਮੁੜੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਬੜੇ ਖੁਸ਼ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਭੂਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਸਾਡੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ ਕੀਤਾ।”

18 and he said to them, `I was beholding the Adversary, as lightning from the heaven having fallen;ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਡਿੱਗਦਿਆਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ।

19 lo, I give to you the authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and on all the power of the enemy, and nothing by any means shall hurt you;ਸੁਣੋ! ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਪਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਠੂੰਹਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਧਣ ਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਾਰੇਗਾ।

20 but, in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subjected to you, but rejoice rather that your names were written in the heavens.'ਪਰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੋ ਕਿ ਰੂਹਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਮੰਨਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਸਗੋਂ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਵੋ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਮ ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ।”

21 In that hour was Jesus glad in the Spirit, and said, `I do confess to thee, Father, Lord of the heaven and of the earth, that Thou didst hide these things from wise men and understanding, and didst reveal them to babes; yes, Father, because so it became good pleasure before Thee.ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਅੱਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਉਸੇ ਪਲ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ-ਆਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਤਾਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹੇ ਪਿਤਾ! ਸਵਰਗ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆਨੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਲਾਕ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੁਕਾਇਆ, ਪਰ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਮਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ, ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਸੀ।

22 `All things were delivered up to me by my Father, and no one doth know who the Son is, except the Father, and who the Father is, except the Son, and he to whom the Son may wish to reveal `Him'.'“ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਸੌਂਪਿਆ ਹੈ। ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ, ਕੇਵਲ ਪਿਤਾ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕੇਵਲ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਿਤਾ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਪਿਤਾ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ ਕੇਵਲ ਓਹੀ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਸੱਕਣਗੇ।”

23 And having turned unto the disciples, he said, by themselves, `Happy the eyes that are perceiving what ye perceive;ਤਦ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਵੱਲ ਮੁੜਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਪਤ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਧੰਨ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਅੱਖੀਆਂ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਵੇਖਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਹੋ।

24 for I say to you, that many prophets and kings did wish to see what ye perceive, and did not see, and to hear what ye hear, and did not hear.'ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨਬੀ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੇਖਣੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖ ਸੱਕੇ। ਉਹ ਉਹੀ ਸੁਨਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹੋ। ਪਰ ਸੁਣ ਨਾ ਸੱਕੇ।”

25 And lo, a certain lawyer stood up, trying him, and saying, `Teacher, what having done, life age-during shall I inherit?'ਨੇਕ ਸਾਮਰੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਂਤ ਤਦ ਇੱਕ ਨੇਮ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਉੱਠ ਖਲੋਇਆ। ਉਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰੱਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ! ਸਦੀਪਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਪਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।”

26 And he said unto him, `In the law what hath been written? how dost thou read?'ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਨੇਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ? ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਹੈ?”

27 And he answering said, `Thou shalt love the Lord thy God out of all thy heart, and out of all thy soul, and out of all thy strength, and out of all thy understanding, and thy neighbour as thyself.'ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “‘ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੇ ਦਿਲ ਨਾਲ, ਪੂਰੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ, ਆਪਣੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਦਿਮਾਗ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰੋ।’ ਅਤੇ, ‘ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਆਂਢੀ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਇੰਝ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰੋ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ।’”

28 And he said to him, `Rightly thou didst answer; this do, and thou shalt live.'ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੂੰ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਦਰੁਸਤ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਤੇ ਅਮਲ ਕਰੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਰਹੇਂਗਾ।”

29 And he, willing to declare himself righteous, said unto Jesus, `And who is my neighbour?'ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਦਰਸ਼ਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਵਾਲ ਪੁੱਛਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹੀ ਸੀ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਆਂਢੀ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ?”

30 and Jesus having taken up `the word', said, `A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among robbers, and having stripped him and inflicted blows, they went away, leaving `him' half dead.ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਤੋਂ ਯਰੀਹੋ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਕੁਝ ਡਾਕੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰ ਲਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਪਾੜ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੁੱਟਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਧ ਮੋਇਆ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ।

31 `And by a coincidence a certain priest was going down in that way, and having seen him, he passed over on the opposite side;“ਸੱਬਬ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਜਾਜਕ ਉਸ ਸੜਕ ਤੋਂ ਲੰਘ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਵਕਤ ਉਸ ਜਾਜਕ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਅਧਮਰੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਸੜਕ ਤੇ ਪਿਆ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਸਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਰੁਕਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਅਗ੍ਹਾਂ, ਲੰਘ ਗਿਆ।

32 and in like manner also, a Levite, having been about the place, having come and seen, passed over on the opposite side.ਇੱਕ ਲੇਵੀ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਲੰਘ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਕੇ ਇੱਕ ਪਾਸੇ ਹੋਕੇ ਲੰਘ ਗਿਆ, ਉਹ ਵੀ ਉਸਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੁਕਿਆ।

33 `But a certain Samaritan, journeying, came along him, and having seen him, he was moved with compassion,“ਉਸ ਰਾਹ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਇੱਕ ਸਾਮਰੀ ਆਇਆ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਅੱਧ ਮੋਇਆ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਬੇਹਾਲ ਪਿਆ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਨੇੜੇ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਤਰਸ ਖਾਧਾ।

34 and having come near, he bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine, and having lifted him up on his own beast, he brought him to an inn, and was careful of him;ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਜੈਤੂਨ ਦੇ ਤੇਲ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਅ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਜਖਮਾਂ ਤੇ ਪੱਟੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਸਾਮਰੀ ਕੋਲ ਇੱਕ ਗਧਾ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜਖਮੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਉੱਪਰ ਬਿਠਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਕੀਤੀ।

35 and on the morrow, going forth, taking out two denaries, he gave to the innkeeper, and said to him, Be careful of him, and whatever thou mayest spend more, I, in my coming again, will give back to thee.ਅਗਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਦੋ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਕੇ ਕੱਢੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਇਸ ਘਾਇਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਦੇਖਭਾਲ ਕਰੀ। ਜੇਕਰ ਤੂੰ ਇਸਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਪੈਸਾ ਇਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉੱਪਰ ਖਰਚ ਕਰੇ ਤਾਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਦੋਬਾਰਾ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਵਾਂਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮੋੜ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ।’”

36 `Who, then, of these three, seemeth to thee to have become neighbour of him who fell among the robbers?'ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸੋ, “ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਆਂਢੀ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਸਬੂਤ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਡਾਕੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ?”

37 and he said, `He who did the kindness with him,' then Jesus said to him, `Be going on, and thou be doing in like manner.'ਨੇਮ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੇ, ਜਿਸਨੇ ਉਸ ਉੱਪਰ ਰਹਿਮ ਦਰਸਾਇਆ।” ਤਾਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤਾਂ ਜਾ, ਤੂੰ ਵੀ ਜਾਕੇ ਇਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਕਰ।”

38 And it came to pass, in their going on, that he entered into a certain village, and a certain woman, by name Martha, did receive him into her house,ਮਰਿਯਮ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਰਥਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਤੇ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ। ਮਾਰਥਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਨਿਉਂਤਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

39 and she had also a sister, called Mary, who also, having seated herself beside the feet of Jesus, was hearing the word,ਮਾਰਥਾ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਭੈਣ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਮਰਿਯਮ ਸੀ। ਮਰਿਯਮ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਠਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ।

40 and Martha was distracted about much serving, and having stood by him, she said, `Sir, dost thou not care that my sister left me alone to serve? say then to her, that she may partake along with me.'ਪਰ ਮਾਰਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੰਨਾ ਕੰਮ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਯਿਸੂ ਕੋਲ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਕੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਭੈਣ ਇੰਨਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੰਮ ਮੇਰੇ ਇੱਕਲਿਆਂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਛੱਡ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੋ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰੇ।”

41 And Jesus answering said to her, `Martha, Martha, thou art anxious and disquieted about many things,ਪਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮਾਰਥਾ! ਓ ਮਾਰਥਾ! ਤੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਚਿੰਤਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਘਬਰਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈਂ।

42 but of one thing there is need, and Mary the good part did choose, that shall not be taken away from her.'ਪਰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਜਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ। ਮਰਿਯਮ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਨੇਕ ਕੰਮ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਖੋਹਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।”
