ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਆਹਿਆ ਮਰਦ ਬਿਨ ਔਲਾਦ ਮਰ ਜਾਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਦੀ ਔਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਾ ਲੈਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਮਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਭਰਾ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਸੰਤਾਨ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਸੱਕੇ।
